There were two reasons for me to give Rachael that bag and create this scene.
First, to check if the Class Rachael was awakening into was really the same as it was in the novel or had changed because of the butterfly effect.
The second was to naturally create drama.
Because how could there be romance without drama?
How would I be able to show my flawless, Oscar-winning acting skills?
Rachael was not a bitch like Sylvia and Daisy. She was genuinely kind-hearted, and naturally, I wouldn't use the same methods on her as I would on others.
That was why drama was necessary – for me to be the White Knight in shining armor, solving all the problems for my princess.
Subsequently, I created today's situation.
It was not to hurt or scold Rachael, but to put her in a tight spot where I could be her hero, her White Knight, for whom she would feel indebted and later repay by giving her heart and then her body.
