Kiara let out a loud exclamation.
Once again, her emotions almost pushed her to tears.
Fortunately, before she could burst into tears, a sudden realization appeared to had struck her, and her somber expression transformed into one of delight.
"That means I can really leave. I won the bet?"
"Yes, you can. But your freedom comes with conditions."
Gulp!
"D-do I... have to be your slave too?"
"No. There's no need for that. Also, don't worry—I'll grant you the one wish I promised. So, what's your wish?"
Kiara's head lowered involuntarily, and she bit her lower lip. Then she shook her head and lifted her gaze toward me, slowly opening her mouth.
"I don't know. I don't want to live, but I don't want to die either."
She confessed, her voice low and strained.
