The evil within every human is innate and is born with it. Knowing that fact, the Devil waits for them to ripen, then strike the world in the form of crime. The chaos and terror will be delightful for the Devil, never considering the mortals. But one could repel the Evil, a strong will and wisdom could resist the Devil indefinitely.
There was a young man who is hardworking and smart. He is a son of a son of a lumberjack. He was a proud child to his father, often glorifying his father with his statements. He is a brave man, his father describes it foolishness, he often fights wild animals especially boars. His life in a small and remote village is simple yet peaceful, it is true that they were far from the capital of the kingdom but their materialistic desire doesn't exist. They were happy that they lived another day.
But one day a horror unfolded in the young man's sight, his village was raided. Many bandits were covered with animal fur and their muscles were swollen. They were having fun capturing women and killing the adult men mercilessly. He was hiding in his house, protected by his father. The father assured them they were safe while holding a shaking hatchet. The young man could tell his father was deathly terrified.
And then the harrowing second appeared, a huge man with a bear fur as a hat and cape. He punched the young man's father causing the father to disintegrate like a bubble. Scared, angry, sad and many emotions surged through his little mind while his father's blood splattered around his face. But there's a thought that clearly rose above all.
"What would father want me to do?"
The young man ran through the backdoor. The bandit laughs and walked slowly to make the young man create distance.
"Just like hunting a deer."
The bandit now pulled a crossbow spanning through his chest and left the house through the backdoor and aims for the running young man.
Filled with anger, grief, sadness, and despair the young man ran with his life. He then heard a voice. wanting him to go to the lake. But the kid doesn't care and ran straight ahead not know where it is going. His thought of horror was going away so that he felt that no one was trying to catch him. He slowed down but then at that moment, an arrow pierced through his chest. His vision got blurred as the voice grew strong.
"Just a bit, you will have the revenge..."
The voice offered a deal that the young man wanted the most, escape and revenge. So, the young man plunges his body to the water slowly going through the depts and something binds him at the bottom.
After a while, a body emerges from the water. A menacing being was reborn. His contract was to escape and get revenge.
"Escape is for the weak. Revenge it is."
He then removes the arrow that stuck in its chest, but it can't do so.
"Why I can't!"
He realizes that his body is weak. His thoughts suddenly changed direction.
"Escape."
The only thing he can do is to walk, and he is bad at it. Perhaps he forgot how to walk. But the sheer distance he covered away from the lake is just a fraction of what a human could walk in 10 seconds. He may forget how to walk efficiently but the mana hasn't forgotten him. He weaved through the winds like it was normal, flying through the air and vanishing throughout the night.
He then settled down in the bark of a giant tree and went to sleep while sitting.
"My time is up."
The dawn arrived and the young man who was unknowingly possessed by an ancient creature wake up in a middle of the bark of a tree. He panicked and due to his unfamiliarity with the situation, he lost his grip and fell. He sustained little to no injury but complained how it hurts to fall from such height. He is still a young kid after all, but then he suddenly realizes that the place he is in was unfamiliar. Then he recalled what happened and started running while crying. He was then enveloped by the threat of the pursuer that struck his chest with an arrow. In which he tried to touch but it wasn't there.
He was confused and stopped while he was grasping for air. He then touched the part where the arrow was stuck and it gone like it wasn't there in the first place. But he was then reminded yet again when he saw the hole where the arrow penetrated his chest is left. He was then saddened once more. He looked down and thought what could happen to his life if the bandits didn't raid his home, the villagers' home. He then reasoned they were peaceful and harmed no one, so they didn't deserve to be treated as such.
A caravan was seen nearby, but this was not a simple caravan. It was a slave caravan. One of the leaders of the caravan approached the young man.
"One of the slaves that escaped, I see."
Then the leader of the slave caravan took some cuffs and placed it on both the young man's arms and legs and forcefully placed where despairing slaves were placed. He instinctively knew that he would become one of them if he hadn't gotten away here so he tried to prove his innocence by stating he was not an escaped slave but his demeanor and clothing would say otherwise.
He then gives up and tucked to his clothes along with the slaves while crying. The slaves that were placed along with him was either a child or a woman. No adult man could be seen.
The travel lasted for half of a day and the young man was starved. He knows that something bad is going to happen if he begs for one as he already saw a child getting dragged out to cry out loud and beg for food. This made him stay silent for the rest of the tour. But the caravan stopped and on the outside of the bars he saw many guards and mercenaries were building tents. Then a wile later every slave was given a bowl of soup, which the young man eaten vigorously. After the meal, he was suddenly sleepy, likewise the sun. Then the young man changed his demeanor, from a despaired slave to a ready to kill fighter. He was staring at the mercenary outside and plotting something horrible. Then he redirected his gaze to the poor slaves who were eating their soup. One noticed him and started to share some food with him. It is a young girl who is deprived of parents and freedom. The old creature in the body of the young man hesitates but eaten bit by bit in which made the little girl happy.
"What has come to me to end up like here."
He said internally.
He was then interrupted by the girl.
"Does it taste good?"
The young man looked at her with a confused face.
"Horrible."
The young man replied.
The little girl laughed softly and asked for the young man's name.
"That would be... Kiraash."
The girl told him that it was a weird name and replied to him, "Mine's Elena."
Elena turned out to be talkative and began lashing out at how cold the slave traders were and how his parents traded her for money. In which Kiraash, just nodded slowly every time she stops speaking and internally Kiraash was plotting to commit a mass murder.
Kiraash then looked at the two cuffs placed in the legs and arms. and was confident he could destroy it in a matter of seconds. Then, the mercenaries and the guards. He looked at them and could tell they were less violent than the bandit he saw from the day before.
After Elizabeth talked, he settled down and accumulated mana as much as possible. To create destruction in small preparation needs a lot of mana so he decided that today was a day to prepare.
Midnight came and he was awake and well. Kiraash left the cell ghost, and appeared to what he suspected owner of the caravan.
Inside the tent a small figure is staring at the sleeping businessman with deathly gaze. It is so sharp that it could kill.
Then, Kiraash turned the man' arm into a pen and the skin was turned into a paper. The man screams in horror as he saw the sight unfold in front of him. Screams was resounded but anger filled his head when he saw Kiraash, he was only a slave in his mind.
"Kid! if you don't want to suffer horrible death, tell me who did this!"
The man seems to misunderstand something and made Kiraash smile with anger. in his eyes, the man in front of Kiraash needed some force to wake him in reality. So, the world around them bends and they find themselves in a dark place.
Kirash puts the man in binds that appeared top, sideways, and down. Then Kiraash spoke.
"To create chaos, one would have group of people to terrorize the common with hatred information."
Kiraash stopped and looked at the man.
"So, you will sign this contract."
Kiraash slowly placed the pen and paper in the table that molded from the darkness that envelops them.
The merchant analyzed the situation and he calmed himself down. In his view, a slave kid who seemed to be a great mage is threatening him.
"It is like he is possessed..."
The merchant stopped and entered a realization. The kid in front of him is a devil. He doesn't know what kind of devil possessed the slave kid, but only the devils make their deals in the form of human skin or bones where the contract is written.
"What if i refuse?"
The merchant seems to be evil in front of the common people but in his view, what he is doing is allowed by the empire and is the right. Dealing with the Devil is pure evil.
"That's weird, i don't seem to remember giving you such questions."
Then Kiraash summoned a chain that pierced the merchant's right arm and making him forcefully sign the contract. Kiraash now retrieved the contract and made it vanish in air by putting it in dark flames.
Then, after signing the deal, Kiraash left and gone back at the slave cage as if nothing happened and the merchant was put back to sleep. The dawn is near and the sun is waving. The ancient devil rested while the human woke up.
