The next day at school, the trio was sitting in their usual spot, eating their lunches, when Rhia glanced at Alex and noticed the pensive air surrounding him.
"Alex, is everything okay?"
Rhia asked with concern. Not liking how down his eyes were, she wanted to relieve her friend of whatever may be troubling him.
"Yeah! What's got you all mopey, two-face?"
Naomi pointed her eyes at him as she devoured her ham sandwich. If one stared deep into her eyes, one would spot just a hint of genuine concern.
"Young Master, they are your friends. You can voice your heartache to them," Tan encouraged him, and Lucia snacked on miniature sandwiches given to them by Rhia and Alex.
Alex opened his mouth, hesitating until he felt Rhia squeeze his hand, and then began venting about all that happened after the party had ended.
