“So that means that they took the bait…I did not expect the crown prince to be so foolish.” The man with a roughened voice said after listening to Calisto’s story, clearly amused. Calisto had told them about how Diablo and his men had found the scale and followed its track.
“Do not be so glad yet, Maximo. Never underestimate that prince. I have been watching him over the years and I know he is intelligent and will figure this out soon. All we have to do is to ensure that we are always a step ahead if we are to succeed with our plans.” The solemn voice that belonged the man that physically appeared older than both Calisto and Maximo said. It was a voice that exerted authority, one that demanded respect.
“You are right Grandpa.” Calisto said agreeing with the man that had spoken.
The man that was being addressed as grandpa did not look older than half a century but anyone would be shocked to know his real age. He was a whopping five hundred years old!
