The next day...
"You, w...what!?" Hazel questioned her friend as her mouth gaped open.
"l got married yesterday." Ella repeated as she looked at her over reactive and protective friend.
"Oh, congratulations." Hazel said sarcastically. She was angry that her friend had made such a rush decision. For goodness sake, she only knew his name and may be the fact that he was the president of the company they both worked in.
"Hazel don't be angry. I did what I had to do." Ella teared up at the at the thought of her bed ridden grandpa. Hazel's anger seemed to disappear at the sight of sadness in her friend's eyes.
"Hey, come here. I understand." Hazel replied as she stretched out her arms and enveloped her friend in a bear hug. She could have done the same if any of her family members were sick. They quietly enjoyed their breakfast at a cafe near their workplace and returned to their work.
Meanwhile...
A certain cat slipped out of an open window once he saw that Elsa had left for school. He ran back home and silently entered his room.
'I have to hurry, or else I will be late for work.' Aristo sighed as he shifted back to his human form, grabbed a towel and rushed to the bathroom to take a quick shower. Soon he was done as he stood before a mirror, tying his tie. His lovely mate was going to be in for a surprise! After perfecting his look, he headed out and went to Ella's school for his first day as a teacher. The most unbelievable thing was that he was doing all of this for one person, her.
It was around noon and Elsa was done with her first two lessons of the day as she moved to her locker. She was now heading for her music class. Her pretty face seemed to lose color as she watched the person approaching her with growing unease. It was Brandon and sadly he was the last person she wanted to see any time soon after what had happened the previous day. His radiant smile brightened as he stood before her.
"Hey, Elsa. When do you think we should continue our date?" he asked as he winked at her, conveying a secret message. Elsa glanced left and right just to make sure Aristo was no where in sight. She forced a smile as her eyes returned to Brandon, reassuring him that everything was okay.
"Am sorry, Brandon but we cannot continue hanging out since I have some urgent business that come up." she told him after deciding to keep him as far away from her. She was just trying to protect him from harm's way since a certain 'possessive' man threatened to kill him if he did not stay away from her. She oddly had a feeling that he could do exactly that if she continued seeing Brandon.
Brandon frowned at the girl that was suddenly treating him coldly.
'Had he done something wrong?' he thought though he did not remember doing anything to offend her. He was hurt by her sudden indifferent behavior but he had to understand that she had her reasons.
"Okay." he replied.
" May I hug you just one last time." he requested and embraced her in a tight hug when she nodded in acceptance. Elsa's heart bleed imaginary at the hurt expression in his eyes as he turned and walked away.
A few meters away, Aristo's eyes glared at the man that had just embraced his mate like his life depended on it.
'He was so done for.' he thought as he cracked his knuckles. And Elsa... he did not know what he was going to do with her. He felt like hiding her lovely face for his own viewing but he couldn't do that. Gosh, why was he such a jealous creature?
