Chapter 9 - stop seducing me

At the hospital…

Ella who had dozed off at her grandpa's bedside was startled by the rapid ticking of the heart monitor machine that was at the bedside table, waking her up completely. Her grandpa's jerking body scared her as she called out to the doctors as loudly as she could. Soon the room was filled with various medical personal as they examined the patient. Ella anxiously waited for the results as she paced back and forth outside the room. A few minutes later, one of the doctors come out and walked towards her with a complicated expression.

"The patient has suffered from lung failure and he may not have a chance at survival unless he undergoes a lung transplant soon." The doctor informed her.

"How much will the transplant cost?" Ella asked. Her face paled when she had heard the ridiculously large sum of money.

'How in heaven was she supposed to get such an amount of money? Even the bank could not lend out that amount of money so easily.' She thought. A lone tear fell down her cheek as she watched her grandpa being wheeled to the emergency operation room. She was certain about one thing. She had to find a way to get all that money. She could not lose her grandpa, at least not yet. She remembered a certain president that had offered her a contract. Maybe she could reach out to him and inquire whether the deal was still on. She had nothing to worry about since it was only a marriage contract. She could then cut ties with him and forget they ever met when the contract ended. The next day, Ella reported to work with dark circles under her eyes since she had stayed up all night in constant worry about her grandpa. She had done a desperate try at covering them up with makeup but she still looked exhausted. She took the elevator to the floor she worked on only to bump her forehead into a study chest as she was walking out. She hissed in pain as she stepped back and massaged her forehead. She raised her head to look at the person that had such a hard body and there he was, president Diablo Asimov. Maybe she was both lucky and unlucky because she had seen him earlier than she had planned to and had not yet prepared her speech. She stood frozen as she looked at him, unsure on what to do next to break the awkward silence between them.

"You do not look so well." Diablo stated as he observed her face closely.

"Am fine, thank you. By the way, I wanted to talk to you." Ella replied.

"Okay, follow me to my office." Diablo replied as he entered the elevator and Ella followed too. He silently wondered what she wanted to tell him but whatever it was, it was pretty serious since her thoughts were jammed up and he could not pick out a single line of what she was thinking no matter how hard he listened.

"So… tell me what you wanted to talk to me about?" Diablo asked as he sat on a couch and looked at her.

"Is that deal still on?" She asked as she sat down too.

"Yes, did you reconsider?" he asked.

"I did, it couldn't be so bad if I married you anyway. It is not long term and…it's a win-win agreement." Ella stated. If only she knew that she had fueled his interest by saying that simple statement.

'If she did not want him, he was going to make her want him.' Diablo thought as his eyes intensified.

"Okay, then. Here is the contract." Diablo said as he handed her the papers. Ella read through them again and placed her signature besides his.

"We shall go to the court house to register our marriage later." Diablo said as he handed her a copy of their contract.

"Okay, then I will see you later." Ella said as she stood up and started to walk towards the door. She gasped when she felt his hand on her wrist, pulling her back such that her back was against his chest. Her cheeks flashed at their closeness.

'What was this sneaky president doing?' she thought when one of his hands snaked around her waist, pinning her to him and his other hand removed the hair that was covering one of her ears.

"Where do you think you are going, wife." His deep voice echoed besides her ear. The tips of her ears turned red at his warm breath.

"To…work. I am going back to work." Ella whispered as she tried to get away from him. There was a way this man affected her body, bringing out her carnal desires and she had to get as far from him as she could.

"But I don't want you to go. Stay here." He said seductively. Ella tried to keep her head clear. This man was good at seducing her with just words, what could happen if he used actions. As if she had voiced out thoughts, Diablo turned her around such that she was facing him. He placed his palm on her nape, pulling her face closer to his.

"Do not bite me again." He whispered against her lips before claiming them in a kiss, he nibbled on her lower lip, biting it gently. Ella parted her lips to breathe giving him the opportunity to poke his tongue into her mouth, deepening the kiss. Her brain seemed to malfunction as she slowly closed her eyes. Here she was being intensely kissed by her 'husband'. She did not know that just a kiss could affect someone this much as she felt her legs turn numb causing her to hold onto him for support. His tongue guided hers and soon both of their tongues were moving in sync. He pulled away shortly after and leaned his forehead against hers. Their breaths intertwined as they panted in order to take in more oxygen. His eyes met hers and traveled further to her inviting lips. He claimed them again in another passionate kiss until she was breathless. Her cheeks were crimson red and her lips a bit swollen from all the kissing. He patiently waited until her breath turned even. Ella opened her eyes and found him watching her intensely. Her brain was back on as her eyes widened. They had just kissed with such toe curling passion. She blushed harder as she averted her gaze.

"Your face is so red wife, are you okay?" Diablo asked innocently as he raised his hands to touch her cheeks. Ella avoided his touch because the last thing she wanted at that moment was his fingers on her skin. She could be in naked in his arms begging him to please her if she was not careful. She had underestimated the possible control this man had over her body. She had never felt anything like this before and the fact that he was casually calling her 'wife' was not helping.

"Please stop seducing me." Ella said as she stepped further from him. She was entangled with him to fulfill the contract and not to satisfy her carnal desires.

"Unfortunately, I cannot promise that because you are the one that keeps seducing me!" Diablo shamelessly replied causing Ella's mouth to form a small 'o' in wonder. She surely did not think she was doing anything to seduce him because he was the one doing the seducing here. He surprised her again as he carried her bridal style off the ground and lay her on the couch.

'What was he doing? Ella wondered as she watched him sit down next to her. He placed his palm over her eyes, closing them.

"You should sleep, you look so exhausted." He explained his actions. His hypnotic voice made Ella sleepy and soon she was sound asleep. Diablo went back to his desk and started on the day's work. He glanced at Ella who was sleeping peacefully. The stubborn and egoistic girl he remembered could never have agreed to marry him. There was something wrong in her life that had made her reconsider. He did not know what exactly but he was going to find out.

Meanwhile…

Elsa was feeling down as she prepared to go to school. Her sister had called in earlier and told her what had happened to grandpa and she planned to pass by the hospital to see him after school. Aristo who had stayed the night at her place simply rubbed his furry body against her leg to comfort her. He did not like seeing his mate looking so sad.

"Bye, kitty." Elsa said as she bent down and rubbed its fur fondly. The cat purred to show that it liked her touch. She headed to the door, walked out and closed it leaving Aristo inside. He scratched the door because he did not want to be left behind. How else was he going to stalk Elsa if he was locked in here? Luckily, he could open the window and climb out and he did just that. He slowly followed Elsa making sure he stayed undetected.
