Elsa felt like she could finally breathe when she felt the extra weight on her body being taken off. Her blurry vision zoomed in on a man that was beating up the nasty old man that had insulted her earlier. She silently thanked her lucky stars because apparently miracles did exist. Someone had actually saved her. She took shaky steps towards her savior who was standing beside the unconscious man he had beaten to a pulp. She stopped a few steps from him uncertain on what to do next since his back was facing her. Her eyes widened the moment the man turned and faced her. It was the stranger from earlier at the bus stop. Both stood looking at each other for a while until he moved closer and held out her arms, checking out her injuries. Elsa stood frozen as she watched the man that was checking out her wrists that were badly bruised.
"Come with me, please." The man requested as he stretched out his hand. Elsa hesitantly raised her hand and put it in his considering the fact that he had saved her.
'He possibly could not harm her, or maybe he could.' She decided to discard her thoughts because currently she needed a shoulder to lean on because of the traumatizing experience she had just been through and surprisingly this stranger provided a secure and comforting atmosphere that she needed at the moment. He held her hand as both walked silently. Even though she thought that he was mean, she was grateful he had saved her but she couldn't help but wonder what he was doing at such a place. Did he perhaps live in the neighborhood? She gently tugged at his arm causing the man that was walking ahead of her to turn and look at her.
"Thank you." She said sincerely as she looked into his eyes. The man was silent for a while as he studied her.
"Your welcome." He replied as he removed his hand from hers and took off his jacket, handing it to her to wear. Her heart warmed up at the kind gesture as she took the jacket and wore it to cover her arms that were exposed to the cold. She instantly felt warm as she zipped it up and covered her head with the hood. They continued walking for a while until they reached a pharmacy. Elsa watched as he bought medicine at the counter. He then approached her and asked her to sit on one the benches that were in the room. he sat next to her and started to prepare the medicine that he was going to use. It was then that she noticed the bandage that was wrapped around his left palm. She was curious but decided not to ask about it. She watched as he gently pressed a piece of cotton containing iodine on her wrist. She hissed from the stinging pain making him to halt in his movements. He waited patiently for the pain to subside before he dubbed the cotton onto the wounds again. When he was done, he covered them with plasters and handed her the rest of the medicine that she could apply once she reached home.
"Let me walk you home." He offered as they walked out of the pharmacy.
"Sure, thanks again." She replied as she walked a step ahead of him showing him the way. She could not reject his humble offer since no one in their right mind could agree to walk home alone after what she had just experienced. The walk to her house was silent too as she could not risk being ignored again if she started up a conversation.
"Thanks, here is your jacket. "Elsa said to him when they had reached her house.
"Welcome, I will be leaving then." The man replied as he took it, turned around and started to walk away.
"Wait." She called out making the man turn and look at her.
"May I know your name?" she asked. She thought it could be great if she at least knew the name of the person that had saved and helped her.
"Aristo." He replied. He was quite for a while as he looked at her with a calculative look as if he was trying to figure out something.
"What's yours?" he finally asked.
"Am Elsa." She replied as she took a closer look at the man. He was handsome with thick blond hair and a pair of green eyes that seemed to glow as they looked at her. He had a well outlined masculine jawline and a slightly pointed nose that complimented the rest of his face. She blushed when she realized she had been staring and seemingly caught in the act.
"Bye." She waved as she ran and entered her house leaving Aristo watching her. Aristo stood there for a while as he thought of the girl he had met. His pupils dilated as he made a low growling sound in his throat, almost sounding like a cat.
"Mine…" he uttered.
'I have finally found her.' he thought as he started his journey back home.
