Chapter 70 - HWI 70

Hollywood What If Chapter 70

The main stars of the party were Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton and Jan De Bont.

Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton were the protagonists of Twister, while Jan De Bont was the director.

Since they were the main stars, Kazir Grey and Reese Witherspoon greeted them with congratulations.

As of June 30, 1996. The movie Twister had grossed $220 million at the North American box office.

In addition, the first week of international release of Twister grossed more than $45 million. Everyone understood that this was just the beginning and that the movie would continue to make money in theaters.

These results were enough for Warner Bros to throw a celebration party.

"Congratulations, Miss Hunt. Twister is a beautiful movie."

Kazir and Reese shook hands with the famous actress. They also congratulated Bill Paxton and Jon De Bont.

Bill Paxton was known for his roles in Aliens, True Lies, Apollo 13, Twister and Titanic.

In fact, after this celebration, he would be traveling to Baja California, Mexico to join the crew of Titanic.

"I'm actually scared of director Cameron. I don't want him to scold me."

He laughed, and Kazir just listened to Bill Paxton.

After the interview, he also talked to director Jon De Bont.

As a director, Kazir had a better relationship with Jon De Bont.

"You know, Kazir. It took us almost three months to create a believable tornado using computer animation. I almost thought the movie would be delayed. I also have to spend hours in post-production."

"Sometimes we can't help but re-edit a scene to make it shorter. Just to make sure the audience feels the tension."

"That's right. I even called the cast to reshoot another scene. Warner Bros almost lost their minds."

They both nodded. They were directors and sometimes they wanted to satisfy their creativity. To the point where they would ask for something outrageous, like asking for more money and shooting useless scenes. There were so many instances of this happening during the filming.

Jon De Bont was a director who was known to be involved in many movies. He was a director, producer and cinematographer.

He directed Speed and Twister. He was the executive producer of The Haunting and the producer of Minority Report.

Before he became a director, he was the cinematographer of many well-known movies such as Basic Instinct, Lethal Weapon 3, and Die Hard.

Kazir respects talented people.

After talking to the main stars of the party, Kazir and Reese said their goodbyes.

A few seconds later, Warner Bros executives appeared with happy faces. Especially Terry Semel and Enrico Pusi.

The success of Twister and The Hangover brought them big profits this year. Both Terry Semel and Enrico Pusi received bonuses from Time Warner.

After greeting Jan De Bont and the others, Terry Semel approached Kazir with a broad smile.

"Kazir, I'm glad to see you! How's your week going?"

"Terry, The Hangover made $49 million this week. Of course I'm happy." Kazir chuckled.

"Haha, that's right. That's right. I knew working with you was the best thing to do."

Terry Semel laughed and talked with him for a few minutes. Since the real purpose of this party was to make a connection, Terry Semel didn't stay long and talked with the others.

"About the Titanic, I actually auditioned for the role of the heroine."

Reese Witherspoon whispered beside him.

"Really?"

"Yes. But I was eliminated in the first round of auditions. So many women audition for the role. I remember more than 1,000 small-time actresses going in and out of the room."

"I think they have a different aesthetic for the role. Because I think you're cute."

"I guess so, and don't use your pick-up lines on me. It's not going to work."

"Then why are you blushing?"

"Shut up~" She giggled.

"Don't worry, you said you were auditioning for Face-Off and Scream. Have you been practicing your scream lately?"

"Why do I feel like you're asking about something else? But yes, I'm making sure my scream can break the glass. So you want me to join the Scream?"

"That's right."

Scream was a famous horror slasher series with so many movies. It was a better choice than Face-Off.

"I'll make you scream later." He teased her.

"Geez."

Reese smiled. She was probably looking for that.

But while they were talking. Another person greeted them.

"Hello, Director Grey and Miss Witherspoon. I'm Jeffrey Epstein. I'm a financier."

The man held out his hand.

"..."

Kazir didn't expect to meet the famous "financier" at this party. Kazir kept his smile on, but he didn't accept the handshake.

Jeffrey Epstein saw that Kazir had no intention of accepting his handshake. Instead, he pulled out a business card.

"I have contact with elite people, and my job is to form joyful parties for them. I think you will like it. I can send you an invitation if you're interested. I can invite you to my private island if you like."

That was right, Jeffrey Epstein was good at throwing "parties" and inviting celebrities.

"Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, Alex Baldwin, Henry Kissinger, Charlie Rose, Stephen Colbert, Will Smith and so many others have visited my island and said they love it. If you want, you can ask Tom Hanks about it."

"I'll think about it."

Kazir replied. But he didn't take the card. In fact, he has no intention of joining the so-called party.

"Well, have a good night."

Jeffrey Epstein walked away from the couple.

"Kazir, are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

Kazir understood very well. No matter how much people glamorized Hollywood, it didn't change the fact that it was a place where crime was prevalent but hidden.

'I hate to say it, but a lot of people in Hollywood are pedophiles. They are just good at keeping it hidden. Now, I am not here to tell you that all the people who went to Epstein Island are criminals. Maybe some of them are innocent. Let's all just wait for the truth... However, they are very suspicious. They have kept up this facade of being good people when they are not.'

Kazir agreed that Hollywood was no paradise. Jeffrey Epstein was living proof of that. Hollywood was dirty garbage. Unfortunately, Hollywood was the dream of all actors, actresses and directors like him.

All he had to do was stay away from those disgusting fetishes and crimes.
