After their 24 hour death countdown finally finished, the couple killed by Bai Tian respawned in Red Iron City.
Once they were together again, they grouped up with several more people shortly after.
"Thank you all for coming here, I owe you guys." The young man said to the group.
"Anything for you, bro!"
"Alright, let's get this bastard that killed you two!"
Indeed, the couple had rallied a group for revenge.
"Li Ming, what else can you tell us about this Martial Artist?" One of them asked the young man, who was called Li Ming.
His girlfriend, Ai Ling, then said, "That bastard wielded a silver sword. Not sure how he got it so quickly since their class doesn't receive any weapons from their Beginner's Gift Box."
"He probably got lucky and found a random treasure chest somewhere. Once we kill him, it'll be ours."
When a Player dies near a Safe Zone, their equipped weapon drops, as well as one level. This penalty could increase or decrease depending on the situation and environment.
"Fuck! Because of him, I lost my starting weapon, a level, and two hours of progress! I won't be satisfied until I make him level 1 again!" Li Ming gritted his teeth in anger.
They began marching back to the Slime
Hunting ground shortly after.
When they arrived and couldn't find Bai Tian, they started asking the people around for information.
"Have you seen a Martial Artist wielding a silver sword here?"
"Sorry, I just got here ."
"Nope."
Eventually, they found someone who witnessed the fight yesterday and stayed long enough to see Bai Tian leave the hunting ground.
"Yeah, he walked that way above two to three hours after the fight."
With this new information, Li Ming and his group followed Bai Tian's footsteps.
A few hours before the couple resurrected, Bai Tian stopped hunting Horned Blue Pigs for another experiment.
Since Qi Bullet needed to consume Qi and he had very limited Qi, it didn't take long for him to run out, especially with Qi Bullet's low cooldown of 2 seconds.
This made Bai Tian wonder if he could restore his Qi without consuming a potion. After all, as a Cultivator in the real world, whenever he ran out of spiritual energy, he simply needed to cultivate and absorb the essence of the world.
"Since I can use Dragon Rush and Qi Bullet, I should also be able to use my cultivation technique here."
However, since cultivation requires a clear mind and intense focus, he needed a quiet place where nobody could bother him.
Thus, he decided to leave the Horned Blue Pigs' hunting ground and traveled further away from the city, where Players are less likely to traverse at this moment.
About three hours later, Bai Tian found this random cave in the middle of the forest.
However, this cave wasn't empty, as there was a monster guarding the entrance.
[Red Grizzly Bear] [Level: 21]
"Level 21… That's 12 whole levels above me…"
Even though he was only Level 9 at this moment, 12 whole levels under the monster, the thought of walking away never occurred in Bai Tian's mind.
In fact, he was already thinking about how to defeat it.
Sometime later, once the bear sat down to rest in front of the cave, Bai Tian pointed at it with his finger.
A second later, he unleashed a flying Qi Bullet that struck the bear directly in the face.
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
Bai Tian immediately used White Ghost's Maneuver to change his position.
The bear was puzzled when it saw nothing at the direction the attack came from, and before it could do anything else, it was struck by another Qi Bullet.
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
The bear turned to the source, but once again, there was nobody there.
Then another attack came from behind it.
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
The bear immediately turned again, but alas, it was empty.
Feeling as though it was being hit by a ghost, the bear released an angry roar that shook the trees in the surroundings.
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
The bear started running at the direction it was struck from, regardless if it could see anybody or not, and it began a relentless rampage on the environment, almost as though it was fighting an invisible enemy.
However, that did not stop the invisible attacks from coming.
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
[Precise Hit: 1,000]
A few more minutes later.
The Red Grizzly Bear fell on its knees, not because it was on the verge of death but because it was tired of everything and just wanted it to end.
A figure suddenly appeared behind the bear, and with one swift motion, pierced its heart with a silver sword.
Bai Tian could see tears appearing at the edge of the bear's eyes as it closed them and collapsed on the ground.
The bear felt relieved that the nightmare had finally come to an end as its corpse dissipated into thin air.

After grabbing all of the drops, Bai Tian approached the cave.
The interior of the cave was oddly bright, and he could see the end from the entrance.
At the end of the cave was a small, flat platform, and resting on this platform was a medium-sized wooden chest.
Bai Tian looked around to make sure there were no traps before approaching the wooden box.
He held the handle of his sword and gave the wooden chest a good kick just in case it was a mimic, a type of monster that disguises itself as treasure, as he had a bad first experience with them.
When it had no reaction, Bai Tian finally decided to open it.
Inside the chest were two items– a red bracelet and a brown sack.

"Not bad." Bai Tian mumbled.
He decided to not wear his new equipment just yet to save its durability, and he really didn't need the extra stats right now.
"This is a pretty decent place to cultivate, too."
He proceeded to take a seat on the platform beside the empty wooden chest.
After taking a deep breath, he cleared his mind and began to cultivate, absorbing the essence around him.
