Kiryo and Sheena return to the crowd, to see Kairo's been struck a deadly blow, a dart to his neck, he collapses to the ground in pain, everyone panics and scatters, Kiryo advices against this to deaf ears. Each begins to fall, Kiryo kneels down and commences a chant. - O divine Spirit of healing and prayer, I answer thy call, pass thy power to me thy loyal Sheppard: Healing Wave! Kiryo places his palm on Kairo's neck wound, a warm light washes over him and his poisoning is healed. He places his bag on the floor and puts Kairo down to rest on it. Kiryo asks Sheena if she can give him a hand, she agrees and the two now stick together. The sky draws darker as the evening sets in. - We might have trouble! Sheena exclaims.
Kiryo grimaced and looks back at her nodding in agreement. Kiryo asks Manta to help as it has better night vision than them. Humm who is still sleeping in the carriage gets woken up by Kiryo, he directly asks Humm. - How long have we known each other? Still groggy from his nap he yawns and says. - well, we grew up in Porthow. Kiryo exclaims. - AHA! With confidence. - my theory was right! The Rogue already planted false memories in all of us! Sheena asks how it's possible, Kiryo looks at her dead in the eyes and says. - Because the Rogue's been here all along! From the moment we all got on this carriage. We were strangers at one point and all of a sudden we're the bestest of friends? However, one thing's still not right! Sheena who is already concerned. - We still need to narrow it down... - Let's start with Kairo!
Kiryo exclaims. Humm hops off the carriage and accompanies Kiryo and Sheena to Kairo, he kneels down and asks Kairo who promptly tells him. - it's not me, Kiryo. I'm obviously not built for Rogue work anyway, my Mental stat's too low. Right there Kiryo got the idea, he jumps up from the ground. - THAT'S IT! He happily exclaims. - Rogues specialize in memory manipulation! Right?! Sheena and Humm nod in agreement (even though Humm still doesn't know what's happening.)
Kiryo continues. - That means that the Rogue has to have a really hight Mental stat! Which means if we can see each other's Menus we shouldn't have a problem! Kiryo in a show of good faith opens his Menu log to Sheena, Humm and Kairo to see, Kairo followed up, Sheena and Humm exchange glances and shrug in agreement, opening their Menu logs, Kiryo has a Mental stat of 7, Kairo has 4, Sheena has 8 and Humm has 5, Kiryo deducted that none of them could be the Rogue. They close their logs, Kairo gets up and hands Kiryo his bag, thanking him. All four now stand to face the Rogue.
