The sun is close to setting, Kiryo pays for a carriage to ride on with Manta, he gets on the back, with five other adventures, two girls and four guys. Kiryo politely greets them and sits with Manta on his lap. The merchants start to depart from the Citadel en route to Halbarth, the group of adventures showed an interest in Manta and one asks to pet it, Kiryo obliges and she gets flustered by Manta's cuteness. The others soon gather around Kiryo to pet it, Kiryo gets overwhelmed but still tries to maintain control of the situation, the caravan of merchants halt, one of their Raid Raptoids has collapsed. The different groups all halt to inspect the situation before them, one of the adventures from the other carriage was a Bandit and deducted that it was poisoned by a powerful poison expert, she posits that there's a Rogue in their midst. - Rogues are dangerous, they specialize in stealth and illusion, if one is here, they're doomed. Kiryo is unfamiliar with the Rogue Role and asks the Bandit what they are exactly. She directs herself to the caravan.
- What makes Rogues dangerous is that you never notice when they got there, they felt like they were always there, because if a Rogue is here, it means it's here to kill!
The caravan begins to panic and infight in attempts to weed out the Rogue. Kiryo looks around and the stress between the people builds up like a kettle, Sheena pulls him away.
- hey, hey! Easy, you ok, Kio?
- Yeah, thanks Shee, I was getting lost there. The two walk away and join the group back at their carriage. Sheena starts to pet Manta. The shouting dies down and in its stead, blood curdling cries overtakes the air, Kiryo looks back and sees several have dropped dead suddenly, all bleeding from their noses, mouths, eyes and ears, they join the rest of the group, Kiryo notices that the Bandit was among the dead, he felt a his chest squeeze close in panic.
- (Even a Bandit falls to a Rogue?!) His inner thoughts were keeping him alarmed he looks around, glancing at every corner in his view. - why is the rogue here anyways?! One adventurers blurts out, this begins to turn to wondering why the rogue is here to begin with, Kairo tells everyone to calm down, the adventures turn on him. Sheena tries to comfort Kiryo but he walks away, Manta follows closely after, he gets far away from the crowd to drown out their arguments, after sitting down, he takes a deep breath in and a deep exhale, then the thought just hit him.
- (Since when was I so friendly with those adventures?) - (Sheena? Tia? Kairo? Humm? Why do I know their names?) Wait... Kiryo looks at Sheena, she seems worried about him. - How long have I known you for... Sheena? Kiryo asks with hesitancy. Sheena seems taken aback and she answers. - What do you mean, Kio? We've been friends for years. - Kiryo interrupts her. - That's just it... since when was that the case? Sheena seems even more confused. - What do you mean? She asks Kiryo. - I think the Rogue was with us... in the carriage! Kiryo proclaims.
