Kayla sensed the tension between her mother and brother and attempted to speak up, but Isaac subtly shook his head, silently advising her not to interfere. Confused, Kayla was unaware of the underlying issue between the two of them. She was the only one in the family who remained ignorant about Maxi's true identity.
Once upstairs, Oma turned her back to Isaac as he entered the room and closed the door behind him.
Oma faced him, her eyes filled with restrained anger. She demanded of Isaac, "Now tell me the truth about Maxi."
Isaac opened his mouth to speak, but Oma interrupted him, raising her hand to silence him. "Don't even think about hiding the truth from me now.
