Islinda only sipped the tonic while Aurelia was speaking, and stiffened at the Fae's disgusting words. She lifted her face, looking at the ignorant Fae with eyes darkened with rage.
"What did you just say?" Islinda asked, her voice as cold as ice.
Aurelia saw her hard gaze and realized that she had fucked up. She swallowed, her mouth opening and closing helplessly.
"Why are you not speaking, Aurelia? Did something happen to your tongue?" Islinda taunted her, icy gaze like a spear to the heart.
"I was only trying to point out that having a baby for Prince Aldric is not the best idea," Aurelia finally spoke up, trying to explain herself out of this situation she had brought upon herself.
"I didn't realize you could speak this nicely or should I remind you that you were eliminating the chances of a damned dark Fae child running around," Islinda said with a saccharine tone that didn't hide the anger burning inside of her.
