I was fully healed and feeling energetic. It was clear that whatever it was that Miriam wanted to do to me to stop the mating had not succeeded. I held my hands against my body in an attempt to shield my body against the cold.
I fought the urge to grit my teeth together and run as far as I could from here but I couldn't.
"I knew we should have brought her a shawl to shield her from the cold, " Zeus said as he walked towards me.
Kai eyed me with amusement dancing in his eyes. He was clearly happy with my suffering.
"I hate you, " I muttered, in between a shiver.
"No, you don't. She'll be warm in a few minutes. "
The way he raked my body made my body start to warm up a little bit. My toes tingled in anticipation as I pictured all the things that would soon happen.
