Xiana yanked away Licheng's hands and told him she was not sick. Her eyelashes fluttered because of the sudden foreign feeling. "No one cares about your safety. The General could have come behind you even if you refused him to," Xiana complained.
"The rain will slow down soon," Licheng said.
"Can't you see it is turning dark?" Xiana asked him.
"I thought you were not afraid of darkness," Licheng stated.
"What if the demon attacks us?" Xiana queried. "What will you do then? The fear is still inside me," she muttered.
"I am here with you. You should not be scared," Licheng assured her safety. "Well, earlier you ran away on the horse leaving your ring behind. Were you not scared then?" he asked.
Xiana glared at him. "I did not think about that. All I thought was running away from you," she mumbled.
"Do not ever do that. No matter how angry I get with you. I do not want you to get hurt," Licheng stated.
