Xiana stretched out her arms after she took a long nap. She found a single lantern lit in her room. It was nighttime, which meant the celebration must be over. As she placed her feet on the floor and wore her shoes, she heard the door slide open.
"Finally, you are awake. I thought you would keep sleeping till the morning," Wu Jingyun remarked. Xiana frowned at him and stood straight.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on the palace grounds?" Xiana inquired and started folding the duvet. She didn't call for the maidservant for such a tiny chore and then settled on the bed.
"We cannot leave you alone," Wu Jingyun said.
"So, you started caring for your martial sister," Xiana said with a tiny smile on her lips.
"Martial sister!?" Wu Jingyun chuckled. "You are not my sister," he proclaimed.
Xiana kept smiling at him and asked him to come inside. "You can sit on the chair," she opined. Wu Jingyun hummed and sat on the chair.
