Xiana's eyes fluttered open as she sat up, her hand instinctively finding its way to her chest as she recollected the events of the morning. The memory of Xu Long using his power despite being trapped within Wu Jingyun's cage lingered in her mind. She couldn't help but feel grateful that Licheng had saved her from crashing into the tall shoots of bamboo.
"The bamboos!" Xiana murmured, suddenly concerned for Licheng. "He must have hurt himself. But where is he?" She made to get up from the bed when Licheng walked into the bedchamber.
