The next morning, Xiana found Licheng had cleaned the entire bathhouse for her. In the bathtub, hot water was already present with some special herbs mixed in that. The scent coming out of those herbs would calm anyone's nerves down.
A smile tugged on Xiana's lips. "He is a caring husband," she murmured and undressed. She got into the bathtub and poured water over her arms and shoulders using her hands.
After the bath, she dressed up into the clean clothes, which Licheng had handed her earlier and put the already-worn clothes into the basket as he had told her. She went to the room with the towel in her hand. As she slid open the door, her eyes landed on Licheng, who was seated on the bed.
Xiana stepped inside and closed the door behind her. She dried her hair using the towel and stood near the window.
"I thought you would take me to the hot water spring," Xiana said.
