"I should have never suggested we went to the Coming-of-Age Ceremony."
Mar-Yue was lying face-first on her bed while Sol sat next to her rubbing her back.
They had returned to the Tribe and decided to head to Mar-Yue's tent. It had been some time since then and all this while Mar-Yue had been crying.
Sol continued to rub Mar-Yue's back as he said.
"It's going to be okay; I'll think of something."
Mar-Yue's muffled sniffle could be heard before she said.
"You shouldn't be the one saying that. You just have to sit tight, I'll handle my father."
"Do you have a plan?"
"Yeah, just ignore everything he says."
Sol forced a smile and was about to say something, but a girl's voice was suddenly heard from the tent's entrance.
"Cousin Mar-Yue, mother said to give you this dress."
Sol got up and went to the entrance.
