Little Pontifex was playing with his friends. The children in the neighborhood loved the little rascal. Little Pontifex hunted rabbits with them when it was a long winter. Pontifex sometimes came in clutch when all they ate was oatmeal for weeks. He had nailed rabbits in the head with his sling, and after giving one to his mother, he gave the rest to neighborhood children. Little boys and girls loved to chase Pontifex around. Pontifex was cool. He had fed them when they were suffering and asked nothing in return.
They would watch him and try to emulate what he was doing. One of those days, Pontifex was teaching the kids how to make bows and arrows. The children were eagerly watching Pontifex recite the thing he had learned from his uncle two weeks prior as if he had known how to make a bow for years.
