An egg approached the moon. Little holes appeared on its sides and expelled spiritual energy.

It landed on the small legs that it had sprouted.
It was oddly cute. When it landed, the little doors on the side opened. Little robotic spiderlings rolled out. The spiders got out and brought back some material from the surface of the dirt. The top of the egg got filled with moon dust and started heating and rotating. Slow induction heating separated elements through their melting points. The rotation separated the elements by their weights. By the time rotation ended, elements were roughly divided into compartments. Then the three-dimensional printer printed a slightly larger copy of itself using the collected materials.
The new egg was as large as a cat. It printed new robotic spiders and rotating furnaces. Robotic spiders collected even more resources. That resulted in even larger eggs, spiders, and furnaces.
