Chapter 38 - Offering A Bad Deal

"When even Luna couldn't do anything to me, you think that you could do anything to me? You should at least be at Luna's level if you were thinking about intimidating me."

The more Alan said, the more Jules felt insulted. Basically, Alan was talking about how Luna couldn't do anything to him despite having problems with him.

He was here bragging about how Luna, despite being the Top idol of Dreamwave Entertainment, couldn't do anything to him. Indirectly, Alan was also insulting Composer Jules' capabilities.

The people around them were shocked by Alan's attitude, particularly those who knew Jules and respected him as a talented composer.

They couldn't fathom how someone like Alan, who appeared to be so young and inexperienced, could behave in such a disrespectful manner towards a senior like Jules.

To be able to show such an attitude to Composer Jules, they knew that Alan would also need to be in a very high position or have a connection with someone who is in a high position. And looking at Alan's age, they believe it was later.

They choose to just watch, not wanting to offend either party.

As for Mina and Jun, they were equally appalled by Alan's behavior. Although they had just met him, they couldn't help but feel offended by his arrogance and lack of respect for their colleagues.

They thought that he should at least show some respect to Composer Jules as he is the senior from the same company. Even if not for Composer Jules, he should show respect for those who are idols.

However, not only did he dare disregard Composer Jules, but he was also insulting even Luna Gracia, the star of Dreamwave Entertainment.

"How dare you? As a manager, you should know better than to be so disrespectful! Do you even know who Composer Jules is?"

Jun interrupted, hoping to support Composer Jules and win some favors. He thought that if he could have Composer Jules owe him, he could get more songs from him in the future.

Moreover, he didn't like the attitude that a manager was showing to a star. He felt offended when Alan started to even say that Luna, who is an idol, could do nothing to him. He felt disrespected by that as he was an idol that has less power than Luna.

Alan glanced at Jun who was yelling and then ignored him. He kept looking at Composer Jules, not giving any attention to what Jun said.

Alan didn't really give a damn about them and it goes double for Jun. He didn't even want to say anything to Jun as he thought he was not worth it.

Jun was furious as his words were blatantly ignored by Alan. Mina just watched and didn't say anything. She was very careful as she didn't want to get caught fighting by reporters. And she had her pride as a B-List idol and didn't think it was worth fighting with Alan for gaining the favor of Composer Jules.

"Humph! You're nothing but a manager appointed by idols. You're easily replaceable," he sneered.

Turning his attention to Irina and Cecilia, Jules offered them a deal.

"Cancel your contract with this manager, and I'll compose two songs for you in the future."

Composer Jules said proudly. He was saying as if he was doing some favor for them.

While for idols of Mina status, Composer Jules' work was just considered above average, for new idols, his work would be considered absolutely amazing. Many C-List and lower-ranked idols would do anything to get his songs.

However, there was no excitement in the faces of Irina and Cecilia. Irina and Cecilia looked at Composer Jules with cold, uninterested expressions that made him feel like an idiot.

With a polite smile, Irina spoke up, but her eyes betrayed her disinterest. "Thank you for your offer, Composer Jules. We appreciate your talent, but we are happy with our current manager."

Cecilia nodded in agreement, adding, "Yes, we understand that you are a great composer, but we prefer to continue working with Alan."

The rejection hit Composer Jules hard, and he struggled to hide his disappointment. This was not what he had expected. From Alan's insults to Irina and Cecilia's refusal, everything felt unexpected and unwanted.

"Humph! You might not know who I am. But you will know when my song wins this contest. At that time, if you have changed your mind, you can come to me."

Composer Jules believed they were just ignorant fools, and when they lost to his song, they would be crawling back to him. But Alan had heard enough of his bragging.

"Sigh! Some people love to talk big but can't back it up. Did you become a composer because of your wild imagination?" Alan taunted, unimpressed by Composer Jules' empty promises.

He didn't think that Composer Jules' song would be better than what he got from the System. Songs with Excellent quality are rare and not something that could be composed by people on the level of Composer Jules.

Moreover, Alan believed that Irina and Cecilia's voices were better than Mina's or Jun's. With them, Alan didn't think that they would lose this competition.

"Hmph! Say what you want for now. You'll know later!"

Composer Jules snarled, his face contorted with anger as he stormed off. Mina and Jun followed closely behind, casting Alan's disdainful glares. While Mina kept her contempt hidden, Jun's hatred for Alan was clear as day.

"Is it okay? Aren't they from the same company as you?"

Mia asked, worried about the potential repercussions of having bad blood with colleagues.

"It's fine! They would have found a reason to cause trouble even if I hadn't done anything," Alan replied with a shrug. He knew that they were already looking for an excuse to target him, so he didn't mind standing up for himself and telling them off.

Anyway, unlike other idols, he didn't think he would need to be dependent on anyone to make Irina and Cecilia successful. Anything that an idol would need, he could get it from the System.

With billions of songs from all over the world, Alan didn't think he would need help from the likes of Composer Jules.

Anyway, it was them who were looking for trouble first. Alan for one was never afraid of creating problems. He hates people, especially those who target him because the other party felt that he did something wrong, even though he didn't.

Mia was worried, even though Alan said it was fine. She glanced at Irina and Cecilia. He would not only destroy his relationship with them but also Irina and Cecilia's relationship with them.

Mia thought that Alan didn't know the implication of being on the bad side of people like Composer Jules. But she believed that Irina and Cecilia would know and say something to Alan.

"I can't believe how incredibly rude they are!" Irina exclaimed, clearly disgusted by Composer Jules, Mina, and Jun.

"I know, right? I had hoped we could build a good friendship since we're from the same company. I never expected them to be so rude," Cecilia added, equally unimpressed by their attitude.

It was evident that Composer Jules, Mina, and Jun were blaming Alan for Kaito getting fired.

Kaito was their composer, and they were glad to see him go because he refused to write songs for them and tried to take advantage of Irina and Cecilia. Naturally, they didn't have a good impression of anyone associated with Kaito.

Even more so, when their target was their friend Alan.

Mia looked bewildered as she observed the situation. As newly debuted idols, she expected them to be more careful and cautious, but they seemed to be unperturbed by the potential consequences of offending Composer Jules, Mina, and Jun.
