Chapter 5 - I Want To Resign!

It has only been a short while since I became the manager of Cecila and Irina, but I have already begun receiving my duties as their manager. Because time was tight and Irina was going to debut in one month, the work was immediately given to me even though she knew that I am a total newbie in this area.

I guess that was just to show how urgently Irina needed a manager. Though I am still angry about Irina not revealing everything to me.

Irina already sent the document stating the things that she and Cecilia needed before they make their debut. And I must say that many of the things that should have already been done were all on the pending list.

Because I have read the books and gained some knowledge about being an Idol Manager, I know what are the things that are needed for an Idol to debut.

At the stage that Irina and Cecilia are in, all the things should be 80 % ready. However, opposite to what needs to be done, they were prepared with only 20 %, and 80 % of the work remains to be done.

At this stage, Irina and Cecilia should already be trained and ready to perform their singles.

However, forget about preparing their singles, they don't even have anything original prepared. They had no song, forget that, they don't even have songwriters to help them.

No song, no manager, no songwriter, no stage preparation. They had the worst preparation that I could think of.

( I had really underestimated the influence of Luna Gracia.)

I only thought that Luna had taken Irina and Cecilia's managers. However, with her influence, she even managed to block any songwriter from giving them their songs for their debut.

The fact that Dreamwave Entertainment is not interfering with Luna shows that Luna also has a close relationship with someone from the Upper management of Dreamwave Entertainment.

"Ah! F**K IT!"

-THUD!

I yelled as I threw all the documents on the table. This was really too much for me to handle. Nothing was going right for Irina and Cecila and they had too many things that were needed to be prepared for their debut. Additionally, Dreamwave Entertainment's biggest star, Luna, is making things difficult for them.

With all these things, I don't think that I could help Irina and Cecilia. Moreover, I am just someone who takes the job for granted and has no necessary skills needed to handle all that stuff.

An experienced Idol Manager might be able to help them, however, with Luna interfering, I guess even they would be able to do much.

Though even if I had the skill, the time given to me is too short. One month to debut but nothing is ready. In such a situation, I could just give up. If I could help them, I would definitely love to do that. However, the reality was that there was not much that I could do.

I sat on the sofa thinking that I needed to talk to Irina tomorrow about my resignation from the job.

"Irina, don't say that I don't want to help you. But I can't really help you in this situation."

******

The next day, he had to go to school alone. Due to their upcoming debut, it seemed that they needed to go to Dreamwave Entertainment today.

Idols had the privilege of getting leave anytime they wanted from school. Since Idols and their job are considered very important, their work was given priority in this world.

Though Alan could not do that. Even if he was an Idol Manager, it was an unofficial title and he could not be absent like Irina and Cecilia. And he was even thinking about quitting this job.

He decided to wait until evening to go to Dreamwave Entertainment and talk properly with Irina.

******

That evening when I went to talk with Irina about me giving up, I saw something that really made me furious.

"Please, Mr. Kaito, you have to help us. Didn't the agency tell you to write a song for us?"

Irina was speaking to some middle-aged man called Kaito. Judging by what I had heard from their conversation, I assumed that the man was a songwriter and Irina was talking to him about her debut song.

"Miss, I have a lot of work this month. How about I write a song after I complete all the work?"

Kaito, the songwriter replied.

"But then I and Irina would miss our debut."

Cecilia said.

"I can't help you two. If you need help, you can ask Miss Luna."

Kaito said with a sneer. It was obvious from his attitude that he was working with Luna and would not write anything for Irina and Cecilia.

He was appointed by the company as their songwriter but even if he failed to deliver anything, he would only be lightly punished. With Luna's backing, he could easily escape from harsh punishment. He might even get more work with Luna's connection.

"Heh... But if you could accompany me to some drinks, I might be willing to work overtime!"

Kaito pervertedly looked at them. Kaito was only saying that in order to take advantage of them and would not write songs even if they agreed.

"F**K! If you can't sing, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE! We don't need incompetent people. Are you even a songwriter? Can't write songs? Why are you even here if you can't write a song…"

Alan yelled at Kaito angrily as he walked towards the man. He didn't hold anything back and threw one insult after another. The songwriter's face turned red with anger.

This was the first time that anyone had treated him like this. As a renowned songwriter of Dreamwave Entertainment, he was respected everywhere and would give a face including established idols.

However, at the moment, he was getting lectured by some 16-year-old boy. Alan was also telling that he had to get out of there and had no talent whatsoever. He certainly didn't hold anything back.

How could he when he saw that the guy wanted to take advantage of his crush? Even if the person in front of him was king or president, he would have acted like this.

"Y-You!"

"WHAT? Didn't you hear what I said, OLD MAN? Do I need to repeat again?"

Alan holds no respect whatsoever for this guy. He can't easily let go of the guy who dared to humiliate Cecilia. He needs to humiliate him before kicking him out of his office.

"How dare you say that? Do you even know who I am? Do you even have the authority to kick me out?"

Kaito asked. He wanted to curse at Alan, however, in front of Alan various curses, he could not compete with. However, he could still make use of his authority and he was sure that Alan didn't work there.

"Humph! This is my office. Obviously, I have the power to decide who can enter and who can't. And you untalented old fart past his prime is certainly not welcome."

Alan said.

"So, you are that new guy who became their new manager."

Kaito realized who the boy was and glared at him. He had heard about some ignorant new guy becoming Irina and Cecilia's manager. He didn't expect that he would encounter him today.

Moreover, he was insulting the person who would be making songs for his idols.

( Are you stupid or what? )

Kaito had such thoughts. At such a critical time when Cecilia and Irina were about to debut, he was the only one assigned to write their new song. It would have been good if the manager tried to ask for a favor and showed a good attitude.

However, Alan did the opposite and insulted him repeatedly, even kicking him out.

Kaito was certain that the new manager knew nothing about the Idol business and was just an ignorant fellow.

"Humph! Don't be arrogant just because you are an Idol Manager. Without me, they can't even debut successfully."

Kaito said arrogantly. He indeed had this power. He might be nothing in front of an established Idol, however, he was still much more important than an Idol trainee who doesn't have much fame. Additionally, he was backed by the A-List superstar Luna.

"F**K OFF before I lose my temper!"

Alan gave no damn about him. Alan was, as the songwriter said, just a newbie manager, and even with the knowledge acquired, he lacked the experience to respond or handle situations in a good way. He was just saying everything he wanted based on his emotions without thinking about the consequences.

"Humph! You will be begging for my help in the future."

Kaito said that and left. He was very angry and would not make any songs for them even if it was not for Luna. He wanted to wait for the moment when Alan came to apologize and beg for him to write a song for them.

"What an arrogant old man! Have no talent but shamelessly trying to show off."

Alan said, glaring at the songwriter leaving the office.

Only when he turned around did he see the stunned faces of Irina and Cecilia. And he realized that he had shown a bad attitude in front of his crush.

( OH SH*T! I messed up. )

He had forgotten that Cecilia was also here. He ended up showing his angry side which was obviously a minus point for Cecilia. He thought that he should have handled that situation in a mature and cool manner which could have attracted Cecilia.

Just like Kaito said, Alan regretted what he had said. However, it was for a much different reason than he thought.
