[Rolling Lucky Box...Lumber Camp Selected]
"Lumber Camp?" Dom exclaimed, "Not what I was expecting. I was hoping for another Warriors Hall, or a Shipyard or something. Lumber Camp it is though! Place it near the forest please!"
[Lumber Camp placed beside forest, as Player Lazarus is the first to discover the forest, please name it.]
"Let's call if the Silver Woods." Dom replied, "I'll inspect the Lumber Camp shortly. I'm sure it will come in handy. First let's roll for our Villagers."
[Game Support recommends checking chest in your room in the Town Centre first.]
"Thanks Game Support!" He replied, before leaving his location in front of the heroes hall and heading towards the Town Centre.
Once there, he reached forwards and pushed open the double door. Inside was a large open space, with wooden tables and benches on both sides of a clear pathway. The tables had meadow flowers in brown clay vases on top of them. There was enough space to comfortably fit 50 people inside.
At the end of the pathway was a large silver wood seat, which was raised slightly higher than the tables and benches below. It was elaborately carved, with animals adorning it. Behind it was a wall with an open gap on either side for people to walk behind, rather than doors.
Dom walked down the pathway and looked around as he walked, to his right behind the benches was a wooden staircase that went to the upper level. All the interior wood was of the same colour as the forest outside.
Before heading upstairs, he decided to first head behind the wall behind the high chair. There seemed to be a basic kitchen from ancient times. With a large clay kiln and places for open fires to cook bread and meat. He felt it was a shame there was no electric, but it was a game so it didn't matter too much, he wondered if he would be able to taste the food in the game, as everything else felt real on his senses so far. He did worry what Kai would get up to if that was the case when he joined the game.
He then decided to walk up the stairs to investigate. He held on to the banister on the far wall so that he didn't fall as he headed up there. When he reached the top, he was able to see the large room that was in front of him. A large double king-size bed was in the middle, with bear and wolf pelts covering it. At the base of the bed was a large wooden chest. To the left and right were a variety of draws and simple chests.
He headed past the bed to the large window in the distance. Looking out he could see the grounds of his Village and it gave him a good view in to the distance towards the Warriors Hall and Heroes Hall.
"I best check the chest then!" He mumbled to himself, before heading to the chest at the bottom of the bed.
"View Stats!" Dom tried. Before a stat box appeared.
[Player Lazarus's Chest
Can only be accessed by Player Lazarus
Can only store items inside that fit.]
"OK, so it's a chest, with no additional perks other than some basic security. Atleast I can put currency in here and it will be safe." Dom lamented.
He slowly lifted the lid, that felt heavy to the touch. With a creak it opened, showing the contents inside.
Inside was a small sword and a jewelled dagger. The same ones he had taken from the tutorial mission, beside them was the small black box he had also collected from the hut in the tutorial. There was a pile of purple material cloth that he felt could be made in to a toga of some kind. There was also a silver chest plate, with wrist and shin greaves.
Finally there was also two small purple boxes and an orange one. They were all small and a similar size to a dice. In total he had 4 dice sized boxes.
"First thing first." Dom said to himself, grabbing the Toga like cloth that he placed on the bed. He had worn one before during a gathering at the academy, so knew how to tie it on himself. He removed his current clothing, and was impressed that the game had copied his body down to the birth marks he had.
He put on the purple toga and then grabbed the greaves and tied them to his shin's and forearms. He found them easy enough to fasten, and they had a thin fur line on the inside so they weren't cold on his skin. Finally he grabbed the chest piece, thinking he probably should have put that on before the greaves. This he found more difficult to fit on, but eventually after much struggling and wiggling around he clasped it on and tied it together at the sides. He grabbed the short sword in its sheath and clasped it to his left side. On his right he clasped the dagger, that was also sheathed.
He suddenly felt like a warrior, ready to march to battle. He was just missing a spear and a shield and he could go and join the Hoplites that he would spawn in soon.
Grasping the 4 coloured dice in his hand, he said, "View Stats."
[Black Cube - Villager Spawner
Spawns between 1 and 5 additional Villagers in the Town Centre]
[Purple Cube - Hero Spawner - Warrior
Spawns an additional Hero in the Heroes Hall]
[Orange Cube - Hero Spawner - Domestic
Spawns an additional Hero in the Heroes Hall]
"Great!" Dom announced, "let's start spawning some characters in before I begin exploring."
He headed down the stairs of the Town Centre, back through the central hall and out of the archway of the front door.
"Game Support, what should I spawn first?" Dom asked excitedly.
[Player Lazarus is the Town Lord and should make his own decisions]
"Fair enough then, let's spawn the heroes first, hopefully they can help me with the decisions." Dom replied, whilst heading over the the Hero Hall.
Once there he opened the door and walkes in to the building inside. The inside felt warm and open, there was an open fire at the end, though not currently lit. There were an assortment of seats and mats that were in a semi circle around the fireplace. To the sides of the building were 4 doors on each side, he walked to one and opened it, showing the inside as a simple room with a comfortable looking bed with a few chests. These were the bedrooms for the heroes he assumed.
[Player has 2 Warrior Rolls, 1 Domestic Roll and your once a 14 day Roll. Would you like to use them?]
"Yes please, let's roll the ones from the Dice first, and we'll think about the other after. If I don't roll, will the days continue to count down?" Dom asked.
[Of course, rolls can stack, so if you never want to roll, you'll eventually have a long number to draw. If you survive that long that is.]
"Thanks for the trust as always!" Dom replied, "Let's roll Domestic first. Let's see who will be my hero!"
[When rolling for Heroes, Game Support will ask you a question, to dictate the type of Hero gathered. In this case, please select from the following: Agriculture, Craftsman or Politicians]
"Erm, Agriculture please? Hopefully someone that can help get the Village up and running."
[Rolling for Agricultural Hero.....Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus
Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus
Hero Grade - B
Hero Strength - Agriculture and Temporary Governance
Roman Statesmen from 5th Century BC, once Consul and twice the Dictator of Rome. Known for not wanting to keep hold of power, and when called upon to Lead he will, but once he has done his task, he will retire back to his small farm for peace and quiet. Was known for his strong Civic duty, and his deterrence to plebians (commoners) having too much power]
Suddenly one of the bedroom doors opened, and a middle aged man walked out. He had short black hair, pointy eyebrows and a prominent nose. He was muscular and wore a simple white toga, which made his olive skin shine.
"Hello esteemed Lord," The Man introduced, before bowing slightly, "I am Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, my colleagues would call me Cincinnato or Lucius. I am happy with either. Please tell me what you need me to do."
"Welcome to Riverside Lucius," Dom replied, quickly bowing back to the man, to show a sign of respect the the statesman. "The Village is new, and with your help, I hope to make it a thriving place where we can grow and conquer."
"A bold ambition." Lucius replied, "Please direct me on how I can help with this?"
"Well, I'm not totally sure yet." Dom replied, "However soon we will have Villagers join, and I need to decide where to focus our resource."
"I am happy to help you with this," Lucius replied, "However, for myself a simple farm would be ideal. Let's inspect the surroundings and make some decisions."
"Yes, that would be great!" Dom replied, relieved that he suddenly had someone with some knowledge available to help. Even though Lucius was from over 3000 years ago, he had managed part of the thriving city that had gone on to become one of the greatest empires in history. His knowledge would be ideal for the small Village. Especially with his love for farming.
"Firstly though," Dom added, "I need to call in some more people to join our cause."
"Very well." Lucius replied, before continuing, "I shall sit on the Chaise Lounge near the fire, whilst we wait. Do we have any slaves to light the fire?"
"We do not," Dom replied, "I wasn't expecting to have any slaves in the Village."
"If that is what you wish," Lucius replied, "However, it is a good option in cases. I shall light the fire myself then."
Lucius headed towards the fire, before finding some materials to put together. Meanwhile Dom looked at his back and smiled at himself, Lucius seemed capable, bit was definitely going to be a difficult character. The realism of the game pushed him again, and he was thoroughly excited to see who came next.
"System, please roll a Warrior Hero." Dom commanded.
[Warrior Hero will be rolled, please answer the following question: East, West or Central]
"East please?" Dom replied.
[Rolling Warrior Hero....]
