"Emilia! My apologies for arriving late. How is the new student?" Gilbert inquired as soon as he entered the training chamber.
It took Emilia a few moments to approach Gilbert with a slightly sullen smile.
"Hmm... he's alright, although his sword stance appears somewhat rigid and unpolished. Hey, Gil, could you do me a favor? I can't seem to find my cookies anywhere, and I think I dropped them on my way here," Emilia said with a hint of frustration in her voice.
They stood side by side, concealed behind one of the pillars near the entrance, just coincidentally positioned where Lucien's line of sight couldn't reach them.
"No problem, I'll keep an eye on him while you go search for your cookies," Gilbert replied, his tone filled with assurance.
Emilia beamed with a radiant smile. "Thanks, Gil! I'll just be away for a few minutes, or maybe a couple, oops!"
