"What's doomed?" a voice said behind them.
Sica's eyes widened. If there was one person who Zelda was unusually close to, it was Fjammi.
Nak, for some reason, seemed to want to follow Zelda everywhere. It never seemed voluntary but he did do it with conviction. It was why he was angered when Zelda suddenly left without telling either of them.
But she told him...
"Everything you love if you keep following her." Before Sica could talk, Pax had already spoken with spite. She seemed disgusted.
Sica heard a chuckle from the young boy who seemed to be staring back at Pax with a ferocity he had never seen before. To think of it, ever since Zelda returned, the boy had been scarce.
"If you believe that telling me stories of doom and destruction could deter me from my devotion, then you have been disillusioned."
after saying that, the boy disappeared into a wisp of smoke.
Sica and Pax stared wide-eyed at the boy . He had never heard the boy speak for that long or speak like that... ever.
Pax on the other hand was highly confused. "It's wrong. Everything is all wrong." She mumbled, not noticing the bewildered look on Sica's face.
just what was going on?
Pax's eyes widened and her Nik'sati turned ash in colour.
she immediately made a mad dash towards where he had seen Zelda go to. The wolf Sica still had questions about followed after her with surprising speed.
Sica ran after them without thinking. He soon stopped, not knowing exactly how to register what he had seen.
There was a chaotic mist swirling around like it would devour the earth. He squinted, was someone sitting in the mist of it?
"Oh, how lovely!" Someone's voice came from absolutely nowhere. Sica immediately closed his eyes. He heard Pax gasp in pain and a thud like she had dropped to her knees.
"I was wondering when you would join us. But I have to say, I did not expect two new additions. That does not mean I'm surprised, after all some things have to had changed."
Sica frowned with his eyes closed trying to pick where her voice was coming from and what she was saying.
Despite how much he searched in his head for knowledge, Sica still could not understand what she was talking about.
Most of the time, Zelda was incomprehensible. She spoke in circles and said random things. Most people believed she had a screw or few loose but Sica knew better.
He'd tasted her poisonous blood. She might have been crazy, but only because no one knew what went on in her mind.
The groans of pain he had not realized was in the background abruptly stopped. Then a new voice came, one that wanted to make Sica run for his life.
"What are they doing here?"

Wara sat in the center of the plain, eyes closed and wondering what was going to happen when something suddenly pulled her on her feet and led her somewhere.
She could hear voices.
'The gods are threatened by our kind.' A soft voice spoke. Another one replied it, quite harshly.
'Have we not shown them they have no need to worry? What do they want now? Our destruction?'
A third voice spoke, with a knowing tone. ' They wish to erase us. They believe our existence is a threat as some mortals have begun to worship us. '
' They are threatened because they believe we can multiply and if the mortals find out about it, they will have no need for them anymore. ' The third voice continued.
The second harsh voice replied. ' But it has been proven we cannot. '
The first one spoke again, softly. ' But what if it has? ' There was a silence. Wara did not understand why she was hearing what she was hearing and what it had to do with her until the first voice spoke again.
' I have proof that our own race can continue on without the need to wait for years and years on end. A mortal bears my seed. '
There was a silence. Then the third voice spoke. ' Does the mortal know? '
' No. She had been promised to another but gave herself to me as an offering. She is now with another. None will know. '
There was no argument. No chastising. The second spoke. 'Let it remain that way. The gods do not delay, they will act soon. Then we shall see who is victor between a Diva and a mere god. '
The third, this time chastised the second. 'Do you not remember there is one who can hear you? Be mindful of your words. '
The conversation ended there.
Wara stayed still for moments on end. What was that and why had she seen that?
Wara tried opening her eyes. All she could see was that dark space one sensed when their eyes were closed.
Then she heard another voice and this time, she could see herself.
