Simon didn't know why Georgina had been so hostile toward him at the end of the event last night, but it irritated him. Even worse was that right now, she was avoiding him. He knew he teased her often, and she would get annoyed, but he didn't think he overdid it. Also, she was content with him when they separated after their dance together, so what had changed?
He had stolen glances at her all evening, observing her mood changing and the number of drinks she gulped down. It wasn't clear if she was having fun, and when one of her male friends started to flirt with her, Simon couldn't take it anymore. He pulled her to the side and told her to go home with him, but for some unknown reason, she was furious. She kept mumbling something about men being pigs and horrible womanizers.
