The ground beneath his feet was soaked in the dark crimson of spilled blood, and the air was thick with the acrid scent of death.
The fallen bodies of enemies lay scattered around him, a haunting testament to the brutal battle that had raged on. He recognized some faces, their death still playing in his mind like a mournful dance.
These creatures had attacked unannounced and Seth had taken it upon himself to put an end to them.
