In the blink of an eye, a week passed by as the students of the institute ended their exams the previous day.
In a certain room of Dorm #2, a conversation proceeded. "When will you return?" The first boy spoke to the other.
"Three weeks from now," Seth replied to his roommate. He was packing up some set of clothes he would change into during the three weeks of training he was about to embark on.
"You'll be here all four weeks?" When Seth noticed Taro wasn't preparing any bag to leave, he asked.
Taro just nodded and Seth was forced to sigh.
Only both of them were present as the others had left for different places. Ghanjar left for a side occupation while Rizar went to visit his family.
'It would surely be too boring alone for him. I'll have him come with me since I also wish to analyze his strength and potential.'
Seth smiled and opened his mouth, offering Taro a suggestion. "How about you come with me? It'll be fun. You'll get to train and hunt with someone you know."
Taro stood still, contemplating Seth's offer when his ears perked up from the next set of words.
"Besides, you also get to eat as much as you want."
He speedily glanced at Seth. "Is that the truth?"
"As long as we hunt down enough, you'll always eat to your fill." Seth nodded convincingly.
"Then I'll be tagging along. Gimme a moment to get prepared." Taro dashed to his bedside, swinging open his newly arrived wardrobe filled with his clothes.
"We'll have to hurry up. The principal's been sending Raiden a lot these days. We don't want to get to his office and get the news that he has once again sent our teacher and guard on another mission." Seth stated, his words making the hurried Taro hurry even faster.
"I'm done." Taro didn't spend up to I've minutes to get prepared and by the time he turned, Seth was at the door too with a backpack attached to his back.
"Hurry up, will you?" Seth waved his hand, gesturing for Taro to get closer so they could both leave.
Both of them walked out of their dorm room and headed down the stairs together.
Their destination was nowhere other than the Principal's office.
"You think he'll allow me to tag along?" Taro asked pessimistically about the story about to unfold.
"Of course, he has to or he'll be seeing me every day for three weeks and I'm sure he doesn't want that. Since you're going with me, there shouldn't be any difficulty" Seth smirked wickedly.
"Besides, the one going out with me isn't just anyone. It's a very talented student and a former record holder." Seth assured his roommate.
"I see. What do you mean about him seeing you every day?" Taro asked Seth curiously.
"Oh, I'll just stay behind, visiting him daily and spending a few hours with him. I'm sure he wouldn't want that since I'm a pile of walking disaster to him." Seth shrugged.
"We should've gone with Liz." Taro changed the topic suddenly, catching Seth by surprise.
"She left immediately after the last exam yesterday saying she was called back home by her family."
"Besides, I didn't even plan on bringing you along until a few minutes ago. How would I have known I'd end up having to add her to the trip? But it's too late since she already left." Seth was still talking when they arrived in front of the principal's office building.
They stood at the entrance for a few seconds before letting out deep breaths.
"Let's go in."
The guards spotted the two students approaching and prepared to intercept them but when they noticed their identities, they relaxed.
Seth was a regular visitor while Taro was also a student granted a free pass by the principal although he had never visited until today.
Seth pushed the door to the office open and walked in. "Principal Salmit, good morning. I just came here to inform you that I'm ready for my departure."
The Principal's pen dropped to the table like an exam student frustrated by his exam questions.
"I see. And why is Taro here with you?" Principal Salmit asked his most prized student.
"He's free so I brought him along. He has absolutely nothing to do here so we'll be training together during the three weeks external training." Seth explained.
"I see."
The principal turned toward Taro. "And you agreed to his offer?"
"Yes, principal. I agreed to it." Taro answered fearlessly.
"I see. Then come and have your seats while Raiden is called for." The principal called them forward to the two empty seats in front of his table.
After a few minutes of silence, words were spoken again. "Don't go messing around as you might get in trouble if you do." The principal warned the two boys in front of him. His warning was directed at one seemingly calm but truly stubborn one.
Seth just nodded his head. "What could go wrong? We'll be exploring Class Two dungeons at most. There's nothing to be afraid of."
"Besides, if there's a problem, we have the perfect cleaner for the job." Seth pointed at the door to the office and as if in queue, the door opened, revealing who Seth had just called a cleaner.
Both the principal and Taro sat there, eyeing Seth for his words while Raiden walked in. "What did I miss?"
"Everything." Seth replied.
"I'm sure you already have everything planned out." The principal spoke to Raiden leaving the two students out of the conversation.
Seth could speak to both parties any time he wanted but he also knew when to be respectful as he did that, giving the principal and Raiden enough silence for them to carry out their conversation for almost ten minutes.
"Well, that's about all of it. Do keep an eye on them. You know how important they both are." The principal said, emphasizing their importance.
"Aww. I'm flattered by your kindness." Seth said, his left hand coming to rest on the left part of his chest.
"Ugh."
'I knew he would be able to keep quiet for more than ten minutes.' The principal sighed.
"Be more like Taro! Learn to keep quiet more." Raiden scolded him.
"Yes yes. I'll do my best." Seth raised his hands in the air like a culprit caught red-handed.
"You all should just leave." The principal spoke, chasing them away.
"Let's leave." Raiden ordered and they both stood from their seats.
"Don't worry, principal. If we end up dead, know we died because someone couldn't keep us safe in a Class Two dungeon." Seth spoke at the door entrance and Raiden had an urge to beat this student of his.
"That was directed at me right?" Raiden asked, his face alternating between anger and pain.
"You're overthinking it." Seth shrugged.
