Chapter 35 - The Clash I

Seth pulled the reaper as he headed to a room he was completely familiar with.

Raiden wasn't around so he had all day free and since his punishment had come to an end, he had more time than usual.

Today, he was going to teach manners to this man who decided to take not only his life but also the life of his beloved sister

He pulled the reaper toward the training facility ignoring the confused and surprised states of other students on the way.

After fifteen minutes of walking and dragging the reaper, he arrived at the four-hundred-meter large building.

Taking the stairs that led down, he came to a stop in front of his private training room

After opening the door, he pulled the reaper in and shut the door.

"Today's lesson is going to be centered around manners and honesty." Seth said, pressing a few of the reaper's sealed points.

"You should know how dangerous your current actions are. Just releasing one-third of the seals should be enough to kill you." The reaper said, glaring at Seth with a grin that said he would do away with Seth any moment soon.

"Don't worry. You won't be able to hurt me at all no matter what." Seth waved a hand, telling the reaper to do away with any thoughts he had toward him since they would all be futile no matter what.

"Did you fall and hit your head or something? I don't know how you managed to figure out my identity but you couldn't even react in class until I was this close to taking your life."

"Luckily, the principal stepped in before it was too late. The Samiel family would've been one genius short." The reaper chuckled, his white teeth visible to Seth.

"Well. I think I released half your seals. How about we test your theory? If you can't kill me using half your abilities, there's two paths waiting for you."

"Telling me what I want to hear or having your head serve as a bounty item."

"Pfft… you think you're fit to redo the seals and take me back to the principal so you'd get a bounty?" The reaper snickered, obviously not in agreement with Seth's words.

Calmly and with a sigh, Seth took off the bracelet he had always worn since his arrival at the school, his mana spiking up and his bloodlust seeping out. "You seem to be getting something wrong. I said your head would serve as a bounty. Not your entirety since I'd be killing you if you refuse to give me what I want."

The whole room became cold with Seth's bloody intent, a look of shock and confusion etched into the face of the reaper.

'Is this what a fourteen-year-old should be capable of? No! This should be impossible!' The reaper refused to agree with his intuition. He had never doubted his intuition as this was the first time it was happening.

While he was lost in thoughts, Seth's voice echoed in the deathly quiet room. "You see, it's been a while since I got to fight a real bloody battle. The school's security is so tight I couldn't even use five percent of my abilities, else I would be noticed by our overly sensitive principal if he was close by."

"That's why I made these." Seth raised the bracelet in one hand and pointed at the necklace on his neck with the other hand.

"They seal most of my mana as I can only use a fraction of it while the rest is hidden from the sight of every other person. Since I removed the bracelet, I can barely use one-third of my mana since removing both seals would cause the principal to sense it." With slow steps, Seth began to walk toward the reaper.

"Let's see how well you'll do. I really wanna see you kill me and if you don't, I might end up taking your life."

"Wha… What the hell are you?" The reaper asked in utter confusion. He wasn't scared but genuinely shocked to see such a mana level being emitted from a boy that wasn't even half his age.

"Let's save the talks for later as we have something more important to do right now," Seth said, now within four meters of the reaper.

Seeing that Seth really wanted a fight, the reaper steeled his heart. His primary goal had been the elimination of this child and since the child had given him the opportunity to do so? He would grasp it without letting go.

He cast his first spell. One of the Third Class. "Fire bomb." He uttered the name of the spell, and six balls of compressed flames appeared around him.

These flames would remain docile and simply float around the castor. Once launched, anything that touched them acted as a detonator as these balls would go on to explode dangerously, covering a diameter of five meters.

"Go!" The reaper launched all six balls of fire at Seth wanting to do damage immediately after the fight began.

"Water bombs." Seth also uttered the name of his spell as six larger balls of water appeared around him and shot forward, each aiming for an incoming ball of fire.

Pshhh~

Steam was all that could be seen when the balls of fire and water collided.

Within the steam, another ball flew forward. This one being a ball of fire.

Boom!

It landed on the body of the reaper who had been preparing to sneak attack Seth after the steam covered the entire area.

"Ugh!" He was sent flying as he didn't expect Seth to know of his location since he had changed location the moment he knew the steam would kick in.

Still in pain, another ball appeared in front of him.

"What the hell?" Words foreign to him escaped his mouth as he did his best to dodge the spell coming for his head.

He was shocked at Seth's accuracy and worried about how Seth continued to figure out his location.

"Sixth sense!" Seth cast a spell. Although it was low class, it was forgotten as he had never seen anyone use them. This one being something from his memory as a dragon. It raised his senses drastically and also added a new sense.

It felt like he could see everything regardless of any natural blockage. So even in the steam-covered area, Seth could easily see the figure of the reaper moving around and it made it easy to target him.

"Water bomb." Seth sent another spell forward, aiming for the same spot the fire bomb had come in contact with the reaper.

The reaper still felt the burning sensation from the fiery explosion and before he could even notice the water ball, it was a meter close.

Boom!

It exploded on the same spot causing steam to rise from the left rib of the reaper and sending him flying once again.

At this moment, the steam was starting to clear.

'I had to take those to lower his guard.' The reaper smiled.

'He probably overlooked the fact that I can now completely remove the seal since I have sufficient mana to do so now.' The reaper smirked as he began tapping on the other sealed points.

"Wild Gale!" The reaper cast a high Class Four spell that blew away the remaining steam in the room, blowing away Seth too.

"It's about time I ended this." The reaper smiled, his voice filled with confidence.
