One by one, the people who had left the arena an hour ago slowly returned, taking their seats in preparation for the finals they were all waiting for.
It didn't take long before the commentator spoke out again. "Welcome back, people. We've decided to make the finals a bit more interesting."
The commentator walked to the center of the field as he spoke. "The battle will be a one-on-one fight. One member from each team will come out to fight and while the loser gets eliminated, the winner can either choose to continue and face the next member of the opposing team or withdraw and get substituted."
"If the winner goes with the second option, he would remain in the game but would not be allowed to participate anymore." He stated the rules one after another.
"As stated in the previous battles, injuries are welcomed except they would inevitably lead to death."
"Now, let the first representatives of each team step forward." He ended his speech, standing in the middle of the field.
