"Dad! Dad!!" Raela was in front of her parent's room banging on the door nonstop.
Click.
The door opened and she saw her father dressed in shorts and a robe. Taking a peek, she saw her mother on the bed covering herself with the blanket.
She wanted to know what was happening but none of it concerned her at the moment.
Her father's face was slightly twisted. Did he seem… angry?
"What is it?" He asked as calmly as he could but his voice still contained a trace of anger.
She had intruded on his… special activity.
"I'm sorry but I think something happened to me." She said with her head down, not daring to look at her father.
"Something happened?" Now his anger was replaced with concern. He loved his children but that didn't mean they could interrupt his exercise. Hearing something might've happened to his daughter, he was shocked.
"Ye… yes. The thing is. We were at the stair leading to the garden. Me and Seth when he suddenly started saying bullcrap about how I could become as talented as sister Rachel…" She began narrating but was cut halfway.
"Get inside." Her father urged her and closed the door behind her as she entered.
Her parents' room was rather spacious. Twice as big as theirs and was well-furnished with wardrobes, a fancy table, and two chairs.
Davyon brought both chairs forward, having Raela sit in one while he sat on the other, facing her.
"Now, let's hear it from the start." Davyon said, all his and Leah's attention on what Raela was about to say.

Seth wore a permanent smile on his face at the moment. After he had finished with Raela, he rushed back to his room and was fairly certain that Raela had gone to meet with their father.
Those things did not concern him. What made him happy beyond normal was that he had been able to trigger the awakening of another person.
If all one needed to do was become able to sense mana, therefore making the body aware of a different substance in the air and absorbing it, then hypothetically, one could help another sense it. This was a hypothesis that this nine-year-old had been working on and his first test subject—cough… his sister had been the one to prove it.
He even went further creating her mana core without her knowing. A mana core was a sphere that usually held within it an immense amount of mana. It functioned like a reserve for mana.
When needed, the mana could be extracted from the core through certain veins in the body that differed individually.
The mana core usually rested on the abdomen. That's the usual case but there have been rare situations where the core rests elsewhere.
Let alone making a mana core for someone else, no one had ever managed to make another person sensitive to mana. Not even dragons who were the most sensitive to it. Even if someone wanted to do such, there were certain requirements all of which Seth had met.
"Hehehe… This body truly is a blessing. Now, Raela might turn out to be just as talented as Rachel or slightly more talented. Hehehe… I can't wait for her to protect me while I act weak." He was certain of her growth since he had created her core using some of the mana from his core.
The reason why one's talent was higher the younger they started sensing mana was because the mana still treated them tenderly. The older one got, the harder it became to sense it.
When one was younger, the core created would absorb purer mana and that would form the foundation of their talent. The younger the child started sensing mana, the purer the mana and the greater the talent of that child.
"Now I'll just have to wait to be summoned and then completely deny that I had anything to do with it. I'll also have to completely hide my mana core from them until it's time." He closed his eyes trying to fall asleep when he heard a knock on his door.
"Young master, the Lord wishes to see you immediately." His maid spoke from the other side of the door.
"Goddamn it!" He jumped off his bed and opened the door.
His maid was a fair-skinned lady ten years older than he was. Her brown hair was weaved into two long ponytails.
"Then, I'll be heading to see him immediately." Seth replied to her and walked off.

"...so, you care to tell us what happened?" Davyon looked at his son after he finished explaining that Raela now had a mana core.
In this room, the whole family was present except Reina of course who was not around.
"Well, I was only teasing her and I do not know how things ended like this. Me touching her might have triggered something in her. I'm the closest one to her after all." Seth replied.
It was believed that geniuses could cook up lies to cover up before they were caught but legends could lie on the spot and Seth had just proved he was a legendary liar.
Davyon and Rachel, the stronger ones in the entire family, had examined Raela's body and found a mana core.
Just a few hours ago, she had no core but now she had miraculously created one. A core took days and even weeks to form but Raela had produced one in a matter of hours.
They couldn't believe that but they also couldn't believe that Seth was responsible for this phenomenon. Not that they couldn't believe it, they wouldn't dare to believe it even if Seth had said he was responsible. It had never happened in all of history known to them.
'Just because something hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't happen.' Seth kept a solemn smile on his baby face.
"We'd have to thank the gods for this…"
'No! You have to thank me! Me!!' Seth couldn't speak this out though.
"...Blessing us with a male child and then giving us two equally talented daughters." Davyon couldn't be happier at the moment.
"Wait, what?" Raela's eyes widened.
Her mother was the one who spoke this time. "Yes, my dear. Your father said after checking your core, he found it to be just as pure as your sister, Rachel's core when she first made hers."
Raela still didn't believe it. She turned to look at Rachel who gave her a nod, confirming that it was all true.
Then she turned to look at Seth, tears welling up in her eyes.
She rushed at him and gave him the fiercest hug he had ever received. "Your words. Th… they came true." She burst into tears.
"I won't let anyone hurt you once I get stronger." She said, squeezing him tighter.
'Yes, Yes… it's all set. Now I can act weak while she protects me.' Seth patted her back genuinely. He was happy for her. And himself.
