Lyrand took the eye of the earth and stored it away in his personal vault. If the others learnt that he had such a precious thing, they'd most definitely disregard his position and power and attack him to take it for themselves and although those brave enough to do such a thing were few, dealing with them was extremely tideous.
After washing up, Lyrand walked out of his bedroom and went to the living room in his quarters.
Neal and Karl were handling some work.

I can't stay in bed. I'll work from home till I'm in a better condition." He said and took an envelope and sat down to work.
Three hours later, Lyrand put down his work and Karl immediately threw his work aside.
