Returning home, Ash was in the courtyard seated on the stone table in thought. On seeing him, Sydney ran over but seeing that he hadn't noticed her, she didn't say a word and sat there to keep him company.
After a while, she couldn't stand the silence and probed. "Ash..is something bothering you??" she was curious. Was it because of having his position challenged? But Ash wasn't some kind of power hungry beast, she could tell from his demeanor...it seemed like if it was possible, he couldn't wait to hand this burden to someone else to bear its weight.
"Oh..you returned!" he said and dismissed his thoughts giving her all his attention.
"Is something bothering you? You know you can talk to me about it." Sydney said as she placed her hand on his own.
