He sat cross legged as he prepared to start as he recalled everything that was in the manual.
The Heart Flame Divine method was separated into 8 layers, symbolizing the 8 steps to becoming a Supremacy, and the final goal was to develop what was known as the Heart Flame Divine Body.
The first step was called the Flame sensing stage, where one needed to develop a proper understanding of the fire element. This is technically not a proper step, but if one skips this then there is no telling what damage they would cause to their bodies. There would be a literal fire, although a very very small one, in your heart towards the end of it and if you can not properly control fire then your heart might explode.
He had passed this step multiple times over so he moved onto the next one. It was called the flame drawing stage, and as the name suggests it was where one draws flames into their body to be properly cultivated.
If he didn't cultivate the hundred flowers cultivation method and it was any other, then this would be where he had to stop. He would have no choice but to seal away his first one and start cultivating the new one, unless he could combine them in a way.
Usually in the flame drawing stage one would pull a flame into their bodies and let it sit in their mana pool. The mana pool was very similar to a mana core, but while a mana core was like a foreign object the mana pool was a special organ.
They looked the same from the outside, like a very small blue colored marble, but the way they acted was entirely different. Also a mana core could be formed anywhere, but a mana pool could only develop in two places. Either in the white matter of the brain or in the center of the small intestines, not inside but next to.
He had neither but with the hundred flowers cultivation method as well as the heart of mana he had no issues. As a substitute for a mana pool he grew a flower made out of fire like the ones from earlier. It looked like a rose and it was with this that he was going to practice the Heart Flame divine method.
He technically passed the second step so he moved onto the third, called the Flame development stage. There was a special way that practitioners of the Heart Flame divine method grew their internal flames, but instead of in his mana pool he cultivated it in the flower he had in his hand.
He started to cultivate it and very quickly the color of the flower changed from a light orange-yellow, to deep orange and finally crimson red. This flower was now officially different from other flame flowers.
To others this would be the first bottleneck because of how much mana it takes to cultivate the flame to crimson red. But his mana was near bottomless and constantly being topped off so as long as he knew how to cultivate he could finish it extremely quickly.
The next stage was called the internal flame formation stage, another one that he could skip. This was where one turned the flame in their mana pool from a foreign one into their own. Because he cultivated it via the hundred flowers cultivation method it was already, technically, an internal flame so there was no need for him to do this.
The next stage was another bottleneck and it would only get more difficult from here. It was called the internal flame movement stage and it was where one removed the flame from their mana core and moved it into their heart. There was no getting around this step so he had to experience it himself.
Also his rate of development would slow down from here, up until now he was blazing through the stages. With the hundred flowers cultivation method as well as his perfect foundation he moved through them quickly, but the major factor of such speed was his own strength.
When others changed cultivation methods they would usually lose the strength gained from it. Most cultivators were not like him, where their physical body and mana was as strong as his was.
They would usually depend on the cultivation method that they practiced to enhance their strength. They would also use cultivation techniques that were usually tied to their cultivation method and spells to do damage, heal or defend, not their bodies. Meaning that when they switched cultivation methods under the saint tier, they would lose access to the major part of their strength.
This was because at the saint tier their cultivation method would usually change from a foreign power to a natural power. In the heart flame divine cultivation method the 5th stage binds the flame to your body and makes it entirely your power. After this stage you can cultivate any other cultivation method as long as it doesn't clash with the heart flame cultivation method.
But his own overall strength, with stats, mana and control combine, was at the grandmaster stage already. That was a permanent strength that wouldn't drop because he practiced an additional cultivation method.
Since he was at this tier already, then he had no advantage over the part of the cultivation method that was at this stage as well.
"I'll stop here for now, while the fire is technically not in my body, I have to wait for it to 'move' into my heart. All I can do is wait it out." Since it wasn't actually in his body, then he had no control over how quickly the flower would grow to the next stage. He could only wait until it grew to the next stage naturally by absorbing his mana. The only way he could speed this up would be to switch entirely to the Heart flame divine method, and that's not something that he was going to do.
"I guess I'll try it out." He activated the heart flame divine method and the head of a rose flower grew out of his left shoulder. It was truly a strange sight but if he wanted to use it to its full capacity then he had no choice. Until he found a proper tree to form his origin artifact then this is the only way he could activate it.
Since he was stronger naturally than his progress in the heart flame divine method he didn't get any more powerful, but he gained a very strong affinity for the fire element.
He flipped his palm and on it formed a crimson red flame. With a single thought it blazed into the sky and illuminated his soul sea. Until he found the cultivation techniques of the heart flame sect then he was very limited with how he could use the heart flame divine cultivation technique, but this flame was useful enough.
He teleported out of his soul sea to do further testing so that he didn't damage anything. He walked up to a tree and with another thought his hand caught fire.
This was an imitation of the final form of the heart flame divine method, but since he wasn't at that point the power was limited and restricted to his hands or feet only. But even this was strong enough, he lightly placed his hand onto the tree and in less than a second the entire 100 meter tall tree turned into ashes.
He couldn't even blink in the time it took to burn down, it was as if the tree was never there in the first place.
"I expected nothing less from a supremacy ranked cultivation method. If a simple gerp tree gave me issues at the 4th stage then it would have no right being ranked so high."
