The kite soared higher and higher until Mu Xingye handed the string over to Baby Mu.
Baby Mu hesitated for a moment, then lifted his small hand to take over the string, watching in excitement as the kite stayed under his own control.
"Baby Mu is really happy! From the day we found him until now, I've never seen him this happy," Xia Pengpeng's heart was filled with emotion. Perhaps, Baby Mu had never laughed this joyously since the day he was born.
All of this was given by Mu Xingye.
I, his mother, am not as competent as Mu Xingye.
"In the future, he will always be this happy," Mu Xingye replied gently, lifting his hand to drape it over Xia Pengpeng's shoulder.
Xia Pengpeng looked up and caught sight of Mu Xingye's profile, the golden sunset seemingly casting a layer of gold over his skin. The interplay of light and shadow gave her a dreamlike sensation.
She couldn't help but raise her hand to touch his cheek.
