Zara's entire body responded to me, and it almost broke my control.
Her head fell back, her throat bared, mouth open, her hips rose, her fingers clawed into my shoulders where she gripped me.
As we came together for the first time, the world disappeared—and my restraint with it. I was crashing through a tidal wave of pleasure, buffeted, spun, until I didn't know which way was up—only her. She was my compass, my north. And I held onto her so tightly I feared I might hurt her.
Finding her was like finding home, and at the peak of that first thrust, I paused, drinking in the sight of her and crystallizing it in my mind.
Then I braced one hand, fisting it in her pillow and praying for control as I drew out as slowly as I was capable, my entire body shaking not with effort, but with the battle for restraint.
The following minutes were the best of my life to date.
