I couldn't stop smiling.
When we finally pulled out of the kiss, Agatha was wiping her eyes and nudging Stark who's lips were pressed thin. But I could see his mouth twitching towards a smile, especially when Agatha sighed happily.
David stared into my eyes for a moment, then stole one more, brief kiss before turning to the others.
"Are all the preparations in place?" he asked Stark quietly.
Stark nodded. "I'm sure they move into place as we sp—"
"Good, then we will waste no time. Agatha, how are your knees? We'll be walking quickly. Would you prefer to say your goodbyes here?"
Her smile disappeared and she gave him a very disdainful look. "David, if you believe you can keep me from sharing this joy with your wife, you have forgotten how frequently I paddled your bottom as a child. Do not convince yourself that you are now too old for that."
