I'd come to Zara so late I'd known she'd be asleep. I'd planned to just let her know I was still there, kiss her, and maybe hold her for a short time before returning to my rooms and my own sleep.
But she'd come awake looking so flushed and mussed it made my groin tighten. And then she'd touched me like she wanted me, stared up at me with those big eyes and just… declared herself.
It was a shock. A thrilling, seductive shock.
For a moment I'd frozen up. When she sat up and started touching me, undressing me, I knew we were playing with fire. I knew I shouldn't give in. But she was my reward. My prize. The reason all these hours and games and intrigues were worth it.
