A month eventually passed, marking the time to embark on their promotion mission. The mini team – David, Susan, and Amanda – packed up everything they needed in their storage rings before setting off.

Lioz waited for them near the Mission Hall of the outer sect where disciples could accept new missions. "I already vouched for you and accepted the mission. I will be your guide, which means I'm going to accompany you and evaluate your performance. Do notice that I won't help you unless you are on the verge of death, but that would most likely end up in the failure of your mission."
He glanced shortly at David before redirecting his attention to the girls. David could tell his presence was only barely tolerable because of his role in saving the senior's dad and village; otherwise, the slick man would do anything to embark on this mission with the girls alone.
