Myne's eyes widened as she watched the Sea Dragon move, her heart racing with anticipation and fear.
Without hesitation, she reached for her magic wand and drew it out, the smooth wooden surface fitting perfectly into her grip.

She held it out in front of her and took a deep breath, focusing her energy.
"Come on, Myne, you got this," she muttered to herself.
With a sharp flick of her wrist, she cast a spell.
It was a powerful spell reserved for only dire situations.
An Amber-ranked spell.
Hence, she could barely use it twice a day.
『Iron Magic • Great Iron Howitzer!!』 (Myne)
The air around her crackled with energy as a large piece of iron materialized in front of her, taking the shape of a deadly cutting bit that began to spin at a rapid pace.
Myne grinned with excitement as she saw the power of her spell take form.
Archibald and Lamperogue watched in awe as the bullet shot out from the spinning blade, slicing through the air with incredible speed and precision.
It was a beautiful sight to behold, but unfortunately, their admiration was short-lived as the Sea Dragon deftly evaded the attack, twisting its body in unnatural ways that seemed impossible for a creature of its size.
Myne gritted her teeth in frustration as she watched her attack miss its mark, the iron blade whizzing harmlessly past the monster's tail.
"Damn it!" she cursed, looking up at her companions with a mixture of anger and disappointment.
Archibald placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Myne. You'll get it next time," he said, his voice soothing and calm.
"We'll handle close range!" (Archibald)
Archibald and Lamperogue charged forward, weapons in hand.
Archibald drew two one-handed longswords out of thin air, one thin and black, the other silvery-white.

With one powerful jump, they leapt into the air and closed in on the Sea Dragon.
"Myne's spell might've missed, but we won't!" Archibald declared as he neared the monster.
『Lightning Body!』 (Lamperogue)
Lamperogue's body surged with lightning, and he aimed to cut the fat serpentine dragon in half.
He hurtled for the monster like a streak of lightning, his body radiating with it.
WHOOSH!
He succeeded in tearing through the scales, producing a deep cut in the side of the beast.
『Lightning Threads of Intersection!!』 (Lamperogue)
As he fell downward, he used lightning to form numerous threads that emerged from the tip of his blades.
The threads attached to the Sea Dragon, and he swung across the ocean and then upward before landing atop the monster's head.
There, Lamperogue stabbed the beast's left eye with both blades.
A strong surge of lightning passed through these blades.
As such, it completely burnt off the beast's left eye.
「ROAR!!」, it screamed in anguish.
Meanwhile, Archibald had been out of the picture, but he wasn't done yet.
He descended from the skies like a meteor, his two blades radiating an electrifying bright purple color.
『Thunder God Style • Purple Flash Frenzy!!』 (Archibald)
As he reached within range of the Sea Dragon, he slashed both swords with enough power to generate an explosive wave of lightning that serrated a bit of the monster's belly, causing it to roar in anguish.
From the fins on its head, sharp spikes were sent straight for Archibald who was still airborne.

Archibald spun like a tornado and deflected all the spikes before landing again on the ship.
"Nice one Archibald!" Lamperogue praised as he ran down the body of the Sea Dragon and took a strong leap from its body back to the ship.
A small burn mark was on the monster's body due to Lamperogue using lightning to enhance his jump.
They were now both within the confines of the [Magic Barrier] cast by Lutessa.
"We did some damage, but not enough." (Lamperogue)
"Exactly. We need to keep up the pressure." (Archibald)
Myne nodded in agreement, "Let's do this!"
The Sea Dragon waved its tail and struck the barrier.
The sea erupted having felt the impact of its strike.
This resulted in several pillars of water exploding into the air before crashing back atop the water surface.
「ROAR!!」, the monster screamed out, desperate for a meal.
"I don't know how much longer I can hold this!" Lutessa cried out.
"Working on it.." (Lamperogue)
"Okay, here's the plan, Lamperogue and I will charge at it again, now that Lamperogueʼs damaged its left eye, we have a blind spot we can take advantage of. I'll use [Purple Flash] on it again, and Lamperogue will use lightning string thingy to hold restrict its movement, then you can use that spell of yours again. Alright?" (Archibald)
"Alright!"
Myne and Lamperogue said in unison.
While they were strategized their next move, they were taken by surprise.
The Sea Dragon suddenly swelled, its upper body expanding as if it was about to burst.
"Oh no! That's a breath attack!" (Lamperogue)
"How'd you know?" (Archibald)
"Just trust me!" said Lamperogue as he braced himself.
The Sea Dragonʼs mid-region stopped swelling.
Discharge.
Water under high pressure surged out of its mouth.
It headed straight for the ship protected by 『Magic Barrier』.
Lutessa screamed as she desperately tried to maintain the barrier.
"Defeat it already!" (Rachel)
Archibald and Lamperogue barked back, assuring her that they were on it.
Suddenly, the barrier shattered, causing the ship to tremble violently.
It was at the brink of destruction, but the vessel somehow managed to stay afloat.
The Sea Dragon, having seen the destruction of the barrier, delved forward towards them.
Archibald quickly noticed the beast's movement.
"Myne, use that spell again! There's no time!" (Archibald)
In the heat of the moment, Myne cast her 『Great Iron Howitzer』 once more, unleashing a sharp, high-speed mass of iron towards the monster.
However, to everyone's shock, the creature dodged the attack with swift movements.
Again.
The Sea Dragon quickly lunged at the ship again.
『Lightning Threads of Intersection!』 (Lamperogue)
Lamperogue anticipated its next move and conjured numerous threads of lightning that bound the serpent.
The threads extended into the ocean floor and were also attached to the ship.
Consequently, this slowly pulled the ship towards the monsters as the threads snapped sequentially.
"We must act fast! The creature is getting closer!" Lutessa cried out in fear.
『Burst of Sound』 allowed Archibald to dart for the monster again.
WHOOSH!
He hurtled for the monster at high speed.
But it responded instantly this time with a tail swipe.
"We can't let it touch the ship! Lamperogue, any ideas?" Archibald asked as he dodged a tail swipe from the monster.
He ran atop the tail and jumped back into the slowly crumbling ship.
'No choice, I have to use it..' Lamperogue thought.
His eyes slowly morphed into that of a monsterʼs.
His transformation stopped suddenly as everyone watched in amazement.
The high-speed iron projectile, which was evaded earlier, manifested oh of nowhere and blasted a large hole in the Sea Dragon's chest.
It roared in agony and collapse back into the ocean.
The crew stared at the creature in awe as they realized that the fight was over.
They had finally won.
But how?
Archibald turned to Myne, astounded "Did you use another one of those attacks? Nice."
Myne was confused, saying that she never did.
"It drains so much mana so I only use it twice a day." (Myne)
"Hello.."
Suddenly, a young boy around the age of fifteen waved at them, catching their attention.
"I'm guessing you're the one who did that?" (Lamperogue)
The boy replied with a nod, "I'm Rubik, a pleasure to meet you."
Archibald was awestruck, looking at the boy with amazement and wonder.
"Rubik, how did you do that?" he asked.
Rubik shrugged, "That was barely anything serious, haha!"
People on the ship cheered in jubilation, congratulating each other on their victory.
The ship creaked as it floated away from the Sea Dragon's lifeless body.
They had all survived the deadly attack and were left to bask in the glory of their win.
