At 2 pm, Steffi entrusts her mother to look after George, while she and Steve go to the hospital to see Abbie. She had contacted the woman so she knew where she was, and was prepared to run into Bill who might be there.
Steffi sat beside Steve who was driving, feeling uncomfortable, even pounding.
"What if he follows you, or even asks you to come back to live with him?" he asked.
"I will refuse," Steffi replied.
"That's how it should be..." Steve breathed out harshly. "Never accept him because he could never prioritize you over his ex. He's not trying to find you... He's not showing any love at all... What a bastard!" he swore, feeling emotional every time he thought of Bill.
Steffi glanced at Steve. "Control yourself. Whatever happens, never make a scene or commit violence. This is my problem," she said.
