At noon, at 01.00 to be precise, Bill was still at the hospital accompanying Abbie, who had to stay there after chemotherapy because of her weak condition. The man was sitting on the sofa in the inpatient room which was quite spacious in shades of white and green, while his ex-girlfriend was sitting leaning against the bed.
"Bill... Go away, I'm fine," whispered Abbie, glancing at Bill who was about five meters away from her. The woman looked so weak wearing an infusion and green patient clothes.
"I've left office matters to my confidants, so it doesn't matter if I stay until night," Bill replied as he walked over to Abbie. He sat on a chair near the bed, looking at his ex-girlfriend with pity. "I can't leave you alone here….even when I go home, I won't be able to settle down."
"Kristoff and Aunt Anne will come later," said Abbie.
"Yeah, I'll be waiting for them. If they come then I'll go."
