"Your apologies are as useless as you are to me." He snapped, his words cutting through her like a sharp knife. "Your father remains greedy, yet you cannot prove yourself the least bit useful."
"I will repair this, My Lord. I swear it."
Lord Denney's gaze sharpened. "You will do nothing, as I do not have the luxury of time for you to lay waste to." He hissed. Jane nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat. "I will have her removed, and I will do so myself. If I cannot destroy Alexander in body, then I will destroy his soul." He flicked his fingers, muttering. "Perhaps, if I take the one he cares for so much…"
