A woman gave birth to a fine young baby under a small hut in the wonderful, prosperous, and sparsely populated country of Alabasta, which is ruled by the King, Great Hari Arabasta. The infant's neck was glowing the moment it emerged from the womb, and everyone could definitely feel its overflowing mana.
The infant has a crescent moon mark on its neck, often known as the mark of the [Chosen Heroes] who have been chosen by the almighty goddess of life and death. While everyone was thrilled, the baby's parents didn't seem to be. They worry that their child will travel further away from them in order to receive the training necessary to become strong and defend humanity against the demons and Demon King.
"Why must it be him, darling? Why can't it be anyone else?" The mother said as she shed tears.
"I don't know either, darling. I also wish that he was just a normal baby like the others."
The mother of the child started sobbing and the husband of the woman cheered her up and said,
"Don't worry, I'll figure something out."
3 Years Later..
The youngster and his parents were very content for the three years they spent living beneath their small hut. The child was given the name Kita, which means "Many Happiness," because his parents treasured him and he was their happiness. The family was ecstatic that they had not considered sending their child somewhere in the future to receive training in order to assist humanity.
But one day, while the family was enjoying a meal together when someone suddenly shuts the door forcefully.
"Good Evening, This is the soldiers of the Great King, Hari Arabasta, we are here to speak with you about a serious matter."
The married couple hastened to leave their home, but they were unable to do so because soldiers of the Alabasta Country had encircled their modest hut. The soldiers warned the family as they pointed their spears and swords in their direction.
"We anticipated that you would attempt to elude us, but we are unable to let you go by the order of the King. We suggest you to hand us over the kid or we will have no choice but to take the kid in any way possible."
"The more you decline to participate will only result of a bloody negotiation in the name of the King, but worry not, your child will be bestowed a first class wealth and life and live as much as he wants within the academy, he only has to be away from you."
The married couple broke down in tears as they gave their son their last final hug. Yet, the father lacked any sign of concern that his son would be removed from them.
"Be a decent student inside the academy, Kita, and pay no disrespect to your masters or lecturers."
"Sure, mother. I swear."
The child bid his farewell to his parents as he goes with the soldiers. After traveling for two days, they finally arrived at the academy. He began his first session as soon as they got there, but Kita wasn't prepared for the unpleasantness that would follow.
He was the sole student from a low-class household among all the noble students in the Academy. Everyone seems to dislike him but Kita's parents raised him to avoid conflict at all cost.
Kita received his training in the academy until he was sixteen. He frequently encountered rudeness and was singled out by everyone because he was in the lowest ranking among the students.
"How the hell did he become one of the chosen heroes? My 5 year-old brother are way more better than him."
Everyone, even his teacher, classmates, and Arabasta Academy soldiers, despised Kita as a child. After everything he went through in his 5 years in the academy, Kita became a callous person and avoided everyone in the academy.
While he was about to attend the class in school, He received a call from the King Arabasta in the royal palace ordering, He demand of a conversation with Kita about a serious matter. Kita organized himself before facing the King.
Kita arrived at the royal palace, he bowed before Lord Arabasta, the king.
"Lord Arabasta, it's a pleasure to meet you. I've come to meet you after receiving word that you wanted to speak with me."
Kita stated while grinning. He believed that something he liked was waiting for him, but he was stunned by the King's replies.
"As the 12th King of the Alabasta Kingdom, I'm dismissing you as one of the chosen heroes for being such a very weak hero and lacking of the charisma to save humanity from the demons. The fund and power bestowed upon you should be removed, and I am ordering you to return in your homeland and resume living as a normal citizen."
