Chapter 6 - C6: Choices

It was a warm and drenched feeling. It wasn't unusual. I have felt it before, many times in fact.

My eyes opened.

The entire place was clouded with steam and I was lying on warm water. There was something comfortable, squishy, and smooth against my back. Large black wings were covering me and I was seated on what felt like a soft pillow.

I was dipped in the warm water tub of the castle where we royals came to shower every once in a while. And I was lying against my mother's naked body without any clothes on.

"Oh? You're awake, Xar?" Mother asked me, slowly moving her massive thighs.

My back sank deeper into my mother's naked breasts.

I have seen her naked countless times before and bathed with her, but even then, it didn't stop me from blushing. She was a beautiful woman that you'd never get tired of seeing.

My cheeks flushed right away. Melissa noticed this.

"Oho, still blushing? It never gets old seeing you like this," she said, wrapping her arms around me.

"Mom, stop teasing me for God's sake," I snapped, furrowing my eyes to shield my embarrassment.

I was caught off guard by my mother sinking me in her naked breasts, that I even forgot how I got here in the first place. I breathed fire for the first time and unlocked the [Fire Manipulation] skill.

After falling on that stone, here I was… naked in the bath with my mother.

"I have achieved that fire-breathing skill now, Mom. Doesn't that make me eligible to train as a Dragon?" I asked to break the awkward silence.

"Of course," she whispered in my ear. "You are a Dragon now. Not a mere child. But – to go on your training sessions, you must master your flight too. And we'll wait a bit more till you grow in size," she giggled.

I got annoyed upon hearing this.

"You'll never stop teasing me, will you?"

"Never," she replied.

I sighed.

For a while, she laid back in the water in silence, enjoying the warm bath. I laid back in her breasts, enjoying the breasts and the bath.

Suddenly, Melissa broke the silence.

"You are a grown Dragon now, aren't you?" She asked.

"I guess… am I?"

"Yes, you are. You can breathe fire now. You can read. You're a small genius too. You are already becoming the next King who'll sit on the Dragon throne."

I thought about her words for a while. "True. But you are powerful mother. You can rule for a good while." I replied.

"Mm, I am a Queen. I am not a King. There must be a King on the throne, dear. And it is your destiny to put on that crown and bring back our rule and terror to this fragile world," her tone got darker and more serious.

'She's truly a tyrant,' I said inwardly.

"So, tell me, Xar. Will you sit on that throne and have the world rolling on your hand?" She asked me, embracing me tightly.

Her breath pressing against my ear, I wondered what to choose.

'Yeah, running away from this family and losing this Mom and those sisters? Running away from the chance to wake up every morning beside Melissa's boobs? Hm, or stay and wake up every morning with your eternally beautiful mom and sisters, knowing that the world wants your head and plot against the entire world until the day I dominate it all?'

It was certainly a hard choice.

But you don't get a chance to take over the world every once in a while.

"And one more, my Xar," whispered Melissa as her wings cooped up both of us inside them. "...It is not ethical to say such things to a child at such a young age, but after living with you for 4 years. I think I know you are not like the rest of the world."

I gulped. Her tone was getting more serious now.

"As the last Dragon King, it is your duty to keep our bloodline clean by taking whatever measures you must. Of course, this is a practice that we Dragons have been doing since ancient times. We cannot bear more half-bloods and make a dragon without wings sit on a throne, so you must have your children with your sisters or any of us who remain.

But… as your mother, I must ask you this, I presume. I am the Dragon Queen with no manners, sadly.

So, as you are a grown boy now… you have to make your own decisions. And I should stop interfering with your… life, at some point. Give you more privacy as you are growing up.

But, I'll give you a choice right now, answer me honestly."

I nodded at Melissa's request.

"Good. You must decide whether you want your mother to be absent from your growing life. Push me away a little because you need your own privacy. Never bathe with me again, have your own bed, have your own room, and stop sharing everything with me or…

I am there in your life at all times. I wake up next to you every day, I bathe with you every day, I protect you every moment of your life, and you tell me all the secrets that you have. You and I shall sit on the throne one day, me as your Queen and you as my King. Which decision would you take, Xar the first, the Last of the Dragons."

My heart began to beat rapidly. It was truly a hard choice.

'To be the King who beds his own Mom? Or to be the king who doesn't bed his own mom. That... is the question.' I asked myself inwardly. 'Truly, a difficult question. But – life doesn't throw you chances for the first one occasionally, does it?'

I smiled.

"Yeah, I'll choose you, Mom."

Melissa's wings spread open and she hugged me tightly. "That's my prince. Mine," she kissed my ear.

Tears flowed down her cheeks, unexpectedly. I held on to her arms tightly and smiled.

'Damn… what a life.' I exhaled, slowly sinking into the bath with my mother. 'Jay… you gave me the opportunity to have this life. Thank you, Jay. Thank you, Truck-kun who fell from the sky.'
