Chao Yuze stared at the man's back until it disappeared.Did he just ask her to study? Did he think she was a child?
Pushing these thoughts backwards, she called her assistant to help her get the things she needed. After a change of clothes, she also walked inside, hoping the best candidate had left.Grandma mentioned that he booked a private room for them. What was the pervert thinking....
....
"Mrs Chao, this way" the waiter bowed politely upon seeing her.
"Is my name written on my face? I've never been here before" Chao Yuze raised her brows.
The waiter chuckled " you're here to meet our young master, your photo was sent beforehand and we were asked to treat you properly"
"So.... your young master has seen my photo? Who sent it?" Chao Yuze asked, it must be her grandma.
The silly waiter didn't answer, instead, he opened a door and asked her to go inside.
Just then, someone also opened from the inside.
Chao Yuze widened her eyes when she saw the person.
"Young master" the waiter bowed politely before walking away.
"You..." Chao Yuze managed to say
"Miss Chao?" Tang Lingyun couldn't help but raise his brows confused. His grandpa mentioned that the young lady was already twenty four, this little lady couldn't be her, right?
There was pin drop silence for awhile as the two were lost.
"You're the best candidate grandma mentioned" it wasn't a question. He came out from the room, that's one, the waiter who mentioned something about her photo and his young master referred to him as young master.
"And you're Chao Yuze?" His, was a question because he wasn't sure the young lady infront of him was the talented young author his grandpa mentioned.
"We should probably talk inside" she said walking past him.
....
Not long after they sat down, the dishes he ordered arrived.
Chao Yuze stared at the young man who leisurely sipped his tea. He was giving instructions to the waiter.
After the waiter left, Tang Lingyun cleared his throat softly. The girl was still staring at him.
"I'm...." was all he said before the young lady interrupted him
"Was that an act to prove how gentlemanly you are so I could fall for you at first sight?"
Tang Lingyun frowned confused. Not waiting for his reply, she continued.
"Thanks but if you think you'll achieve a lot after marrying me, you're wrong... I'm an author and that's all,
I have no plans to take over the Chao corporation and even if I did, I won't let an outsider I know nothing about look after it with me. I have no plans to marry you... we can end things here" picking up her keys, she stood up, ready to leave.
"I'm Tang Lingyun, grandpa asked me to have dinner with you" the man answered nonchalantly, as if he hadn't heard all she said.
Tang? Lingyun?
Chao Yuze turned to stare at the young man who was busily cutting his steak into small chunks.
There was only one Tang family she knew of. Accompanied with his first name, was he the legendary young chairman of the Tang corporation?
"Yes, Tang Lingyun of Tang corporation" he answered as if knowing what she was thinking.
Tang Lingyun placed the steak on his mouth, chewing softly. He stared at the lady who looked blank.
"You misunderstood, I understand" he said, trying to save her face. "It's raining, you can sit down" he continued
Chao Yuze looked at the chair she had been sitting and then his face. Twice, she had embarrassed herself twice infront of this man. The first time wasn't her fault but just now..... it still wasn't her fault right?
Trying hard to act normal, she walked back to her seat, face flushed.
"Nice to meet you" she said calmly
The man chuckled, he elegantly sipped his wine before wiping his hands and mouth with a wet towel.
"So... you're the legendary gentle young miss of the Chao family" he said the word GENTLE with sarcasm.
Chao Yuze's face burned in embarrassment. That's right, she was considered the gentle type. Everyone she worked with loved her.
"And you're the legendary young billionaire" she said, trying to act like what happened hadn't happened.
Tang Lingyun didn't answer but shrugged instead. He carefully sipped his wine after helping her fill her glass.
