On a wooden floor
Touya' body trembled slightly, then stopped
He groaned and slowly opened his eyes half way, then closed them.
However
They immediately shot back open and he sat up quickly, then winced in pain as his inexplicably sore muscles jerked.
.....Where?
Touya had many, many, questions, but that was the first that he thought of.
...Where am I?
What is this place?!
It was an unfamiliar place.
Touya was in a large, dark hall, so much so that he couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of him.
Large pillars towered over him, and what was visible was adorned with meticulously intricate designs.
All of them, without exception, had the same sort of religious looking patterns.
Next were the crumbled remains of statues obviously some sorts of figures once worshipped long ago, but now abandoned.
To put it simply, he was in structure similar to a temple.
Suddenly, his head throbbed, and his various experiences over the past few days came back to him
Images flashed by as he recalled what had happened.
Sister smiling.....
Opening up his book to read.....
And then.... darkness.
But he could not remember what happened, exactly.
No matter how hard he tried, the most recent was one waa looking down at his book, then finding himself in this strange place.
He tried a few more times until eventually giving up and deciding to focus on the situation at hand.
Slight panic rose in his chest as he slowly retook in his surroundings.
....
No.
Calm down.
He bit his cheek and managed to settle himself a little.
Being frantic would not be beneficial here.
He needed to get his bearings first.
Touya breathed in and breathed out slowly, his heartbeat returning to normal and his pulse equalizing
Carefully, very carefully, he got to his feet and oriented himself, then cautiously took another glance around the hall- before walking.
