Moirai
Now that the worst part had been done and Nadia's ribbons were frantically trying to sew her back together again, I looked inside to see if she was wanting to take over again. Seeing her huddled in a corner of our mind, her head down and slowly rocking back and forth, I thought that I should give her some time to pull herself together.
Looking around the warehouse and not seeing anything that required my attention, I walked towards the two barn doors at the front, wanting to leave this place. It had been centuries since I last walked the Earth, and from what Nadia has shown me, a lot had changed. I wanted to go out and see these changes for myself.
As soon as I opened the door, I saw the muzzle of a gun almost touching my forehead.
I cocked my head, looking past the gun and into the green eyes that the girl knew so well. "Van Helsing," I said, recognizing the human that housed the monster. He quickly dropped the gun when he saw that it was Nadia's body that he was about to shoot. "Are you okay?" He quickly asked. When I nodded in reply he took a deep breath…
And then his eyes started to change color. Going from forest green to blood red and back again, I could see how much the Van Helsing was battling the monster inside him. But when they changed back to red and stayed red, I smiled.
The monster within him won and was now looking out of his eyes like I was looking out of Nadia's. "Woden," I breathed. I would know those eyes no matter how many centuries had passed since I last saw him. "My God of the Hunt," I continued. "Oh, how I have missed you." Lifting my hand up to caress the face of my other half, I couldn't help but be startled when he picked me up in his arms.
With my feet off the ground, I had to wrap my legs around him as he spun us both in a circle. "Moirai, mo ghrá, mo shaol."
'My love, my life' he whispered to me.
"And now here we are… together again," I said with a smile. Woden gently placed me back on the ground like I was the most precious thing in this world and leaned down a gave me a soft kiss on my lips. I closed my eyes and basked in the feeling of being touched by him again after all these years.
But if we were here, then there would be others… after all, those with a monster inside of them were vessels for the gods, and there were many now roaming this world.
He took a step back, his eyes once again flickering. "The boy wants control again. He is worried about the girl," he grumbled.
"We have the time," I said, chuckling. "I will see you soon."
When his eyes went back to solid green, I nudged Nadia to come forth and comfort the Van Helsing. Now that we were both free, we would have all the time in the world to connect again.

I can't for sure that I remember what happened when I allowed my monster to take over. I just felt an overwhelming aura of love and happiness, and then nothing.
When I came back to my senses, I was standing in front of Viktor, looking up at him. "Hi!" I said, not too sure what happened, but still very happy that he was there with me. "Did we win?" I asked, looking around. Since I was free and I couldn't hear any screaming, I could only assume that Mother was dead, but I had to make sure.
"Is she dead?" I asked, my eyes searching Viktor for the slightest hint that something wasn't right. His eyes briefly flashed the red of his monster before settling down again.
"I don't know," he replied. "You were on your way out as I was about to come in. I can only assume that your monster took over?"
I nodded my head. "The last thing I remember was her trying to peel off my tattoo of Nicholas, and then the next thing I knew, you were standing in front of me."
Viktor grunted in response and motioned for his men that were hanging around in the background to go search the warehouse. He remembered his monster taking over as soon as she stepped out of the building, but nothing after.
Seeing as his men had standing orders to disappear or turn their backs if the monster came out, he was unable to even ask them what happened. But it was better that way. Sometimes his monster was too unpredictable when freed and Viktor would wake up to bloodshed all around him. He didn't want to take the chance that one day, it would be his men.
His men filed into the building to complete their orders and Viktor once again looked down at the Little Cub standing in front of him. Her face was pale and there was a large amount of blood soaked into her clothing.
"What happened?" He asked, his voice soft and low as if trying to talk to a wild animal that might strike out in fear.
"Someone came up behind me and slit my throat," I said, running my fingers over the now healed cut. I could still feel the treads that were used to stitch it back together. "When I woke up, I was here…. Is there any way that I can buy every single warehouse in this state?" I asked, remembering my original idea.
Viktor looked at me confused. "Probably, but why would you want to?" He asked, not being able to follow my train of thought. Maybe the Hunter couldn't read minds after all.
"Cause I am tired of always waking up in an abandoned warehouse," I grumbled. "And if I bought them all, they would no longer be abandoned… right?"
Viktor simply shook his head and took out his cell phone, ready to text someone. "Let me look into it," he said, and then subtly nudged me into the direction of his car.
Being more than done with this place, I gladly got into his SUV. Closing my eyes, I fell into a deep sleep, knowing that for now, I was as safe as I could possibly be.
